Classic Cathedral. Blue sky filters in with a colorful display of virga and rain. As the setting sun slips under stormy clouds Cathedral Rock shows off some soft springtime essence. It's a wonderful time of year to enjoy the beauty of Red Rock Country! This image was captured on 4-25-2019 in Sedona Arizona USA.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - Asian Sunday week #85 - winner announcement!

@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

I took this photo on the roof top of the Regalia apartment complex in Kuala Lumpur. In my opinion there you can enjoy the best panoramic view of the whole city. Especially watching a sunrise there is an amazing experience!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #85 – winner announcement!

@dronegraphica Australian Monday entry:

This is the lovely town of Akaroa in Cantebury on the south island of New Zealand. People refer to this place as the Kiwi 'French Rivera' due to its French influence from the colonial times. It is situated in a beautiful bay and is visited by cruise liners, as they can no longer access Christchurch since the earthquake.

@paniczklos African Wednesday entry:

I've promised myself not to bore you with zebras anymore, so I dig up a photo of fighting ( loving?;)) Wildebeests - and yes I didn't know either that it's a real name. I thought locals are saying "wild beast" and it amused me that some one calls a Gnu this way. Now I wish I had some.more spectacular photos from my trip to Africa as it might not happen soon again ;/

@vinceboisgard European Thursday entry:

From the top of this hill the view is stunning. Rays of sun piercing through the clouds enlightening the estuary. This scenery was breathtaking and despite the cold wind I remember wanted to stay there watching the sunset. Northern Ireland is such a great place :) Location: Northern Ireland.

Located just outside of the small village of Piste in the north-central part of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, the Ik Kil Cenote ranks among the most beautiful and visited cenotes in the area. The cenote measures approximately 60 m (200 ft) in diameter and it is up to 40 m (130 ft) deep. The water surface is 26 m (85 ft) below the ground level of the surrounding landscape. A staircase was carved into the walls so that the visitors can get down to the water and enjoy some nice swim and snorkel.

The only thing more Mexican than tequila is the mariachi. Mariachi goes beyond music, it is the sum of a cultural revolution expressed through a group of musicians, dressed in popular clothing (most recently charro suits) which encompasses the essence of Mexico and its people.

Photo taken at Lake Minnewanka at Banff National Park in Alberta, Canada. In this national park there is plenty of wild life. In the image you can see a group of three mountain goats that were searching for food while the visitors were walking around.

Welcome to Death Valley. The temperatures aren‘t pleasant in Germany right now. So let‘s bring back the heat. If you‘ve been to Death Valley, you know how incredible hot it is during summertime. Image of my beautiful wife at Bad Water Basin.

Bryce Canyon is a beautiful National park in Utah, with amazing rock formations.
Last time we were in the area, it was in high season and very busy to just enter the park, do we decided to stay out of the park and just visit the area just surrounding the park. We were completely alone there and still had beautiful views, as you can see in the photo below.

Taken on our recent trip to Banff National Park, we stayed at a cozy cabin near Castle Mountain with this spectacular view all weekend. We took a short walk to the near-by river after breakfast just after the clouds cleared. This peak is the Eisenhower Tower.

Purple Owls Clover
The deserts of Arizona are alive with wildflowers as the super bloom is well underway. Sedona is no exception, some area meadows are blanketed with purple owls clover along with a variety of other colored flowers. This rare occurrence is quite beautiful and at times a bit surreal.

The Road not Taken,

The Road connecting Grand Junction to Moab Utah. This is a state route 128 which was used before the Interstate highway 70. Ever since the I70 came into use, the SR 128 was used only 2-3% of I70. The roads on SR 128 drive through the heart of Utah starting with plain lands and then the Rock mountains.

Today I am posting a photo from my most recent trip and that was to Miami. I was there in March to see NBA game of Dallas and Miami. Does anyone guess why traveled to the other continent to see that particular game?

During my road trip through Louisiana, I saw a lot of great and strange things. Here I was in a nice garden, it was beautifully organised, and the fountain was a nice touch to the calm garden. I was a little bit surprise when I looked up and saw an angel up there. Maybe it was to protect us from the dragon at the foot of the arch 😊
