Today, you can participate by submitting your personal pictures from your travels to the continent of South America.

See the winner of the last week´s South American Saturday @itchyfeetdonica with the following entry:

I took this photo by Laguna Colorada (Red Lake) in Bolivia. Its reddish color is caused by red sediments and pigmentation of some algae. Together with the blue sky, floating clouds, rolling hills and highland steppe, the landscape is simply stunning.

Hongkong 2015. Today I share with you a picture which I took a few years ago on my travel in Hongkong. Still to this day I haven't seen anything similar to this concrete jungle. It's crazy how many buildings growing out of the ground in this narrow area.

This photo was taken during the sunset at the northern Chilean city of Antofagasta. Which is one of the main port of the copper exports of the country. You can see how the ships wait their turn to enter in the port. The sunsets at this city usually are nice.

Today I'm sharing a world of snow and mountains. This is at the ski resort Ischgl, in Austrian Alps. Except for skiing, there are hiking possibilities, mountain bike trails and adventure park water playground. The town is also known for its lively après-ski scene. Trails in the surrounding mountains lead to breathtaking Alpine lakes.

@roadtrips North American Friday entry:

Visiting the Grand Canyon without meeting other people? Yes. that is possible! The north rim of the canyon isn't easy to access but the view at the Toroweap Overlook is totally worth the effort to go there.

I shot this photo from the airplane window when flying from Puerto Montt to Punta Arenas in southern Chile. This region is known for its breathtaking volcanoes and lakes. The view from the sky looks quite spectacular right? :)

Chilean Patagonia just outside of the town of Villa Castillo. I was just about to start a multi-day hike through the reserve of Cerro Castillo when I realized I needed to refill on water. Made my way from the road to the river and this is what I saw.

I live 10 minutes from the beach following a trail that crosses some hills of dunes and shrub vegetation. To go to my work sometimes I walk on the sand for about 8 km. It's much nicer than going inside the city. But on this day it was torture not being able to get into the sea that was perfect, I was late and carrying a backpack with a computer. At least I took the picture. Joaquina and Campeche Beach - Santa Catarina - Brazil

Recently I went to the city of Cumana. Sucre state. Venezuela, because I could not miss the opportunity to enjoy the sunset in this beautiful city. So we parked the vehicle to enjoy this gift of nature.

I spend the day hiking in the Podocarpus National Park in Ecuador. The park is South of the country, near the Peruvian border. I stared my journey in Vilcabamba and ended up in a beautiful waterfall after a few hours. It was a great day admiring the scenery around us.

Equateur 298.JPG

Playa San Luis, located in the Sucre state of Venezuela. The capricious shape of this trunk caught my attention, since it looks like the thumb and index of the right hand including the wrist and knuckles. Really these are beautiful and very calm beaches with intense blue color, which make you abstract from reality at times, and connect with nature and even make you imagine things, like the similarity that I saw, of this trunk, with a right hand, coming out Of the sand.

Margarita Island

Visiting my family on the island of Margarita, I decided to go up to the terrace to contemplate the sky and captured this beautiful twilight. I'm excited to see the sun's rays behind the cloud, you can see a cloud in the shape of a heart. I liked this photograph to compete in this challenge.

Isla de magarita / bay of Juan Grieg. It is one of my favorite places where I usually go to clear my mind and enjoy its beautiful sunsets, it is a magical place and I am only 5 minutes away from where I live, a place where you could find friendly people and their surroundings there are places where you can eat delicious and enjoy with the family
