Today, it's been exactly 2 years since I moved here. Upon waking I received a truly magical dawn. I have been looking out the window of the room around 6 o'clock to see if there is any different coloring in the sky. When it looks promising, I get up and run to the beach to take pictures before I even wash my face or eat breakfast. The sun did not appear but stood behind the clouds casting its light and generating this wonderful effect.

@travelshots Asian Sunday entry:

I took this photo on the roof top of the Regalia apartment complex in Kuala Lumpur. In my opinion there you can enjoy the best panoramic view of the whole city. Especially watching a sunrise there is an amazing experience!

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge – Australian Monday week #85 – winner announcement!

@dronegraphica Australian Monday entry:

This is the lovely town of Akaroa in Cantebury on the south island of New Zealand. People refer to this place as the Kiwi 'French Rivera' due to its French influence from the colonial times. It is situated in a beautiful bay and is visited by cruise liners, as they can no longer access Christchurch since the earthquake.

@paniczklos African Wednesday entry:

I've promised myself not to bore you with zebras anymore, so I dig up a photo of fighting ( loving?;)) Wildebeests - and yes I didn't know either that it's a real name. I thought locals are saying "wild beast" and it amused me that some one calls a Gnu this way. Now I wish I had some.more spectacular photos from my trip to Africa as it might not happen soon again ;/

From the top of this hill the view is stunning. Rays of sun piercing through the clouds enlightening the estuary. This scenery was breathtaking and despite the cold wind I remember wanted to stay there watching the sunset. Northern Ireland is such a great place :) Location: Northern Ireland.

7 World’s Continents Photo Challenge - North American Friday week #85 - winner announcement!

@phortun North American Friday entry:

Located just outside of the small village of Piste in the north-central part of the Yucatan Peninsula, Mexico, the Ik Kil Cenote ranks among the most beautiful and visited cenotes in the area. The cenote measures approximately 60 m (200 ft) in diameter and it is up to 40 m (130 ft) deep. The water surface is 26 m (85 ft) below the ground level of the surrounding landscape. A staircase was carved into the walls so that the visitors can get down to the water and enjoy some nice swim and snorkel.

One of many photos I took in the Cocora Valley, a picturesque valley in the department of Quindío in Colombia. Located in the Central Cordillera of the Andean mountains, the valley is a part of the Los Nevados National Natural Park and is famous for its iconic trees - the wax palms.

I bring one more sunrise today. This view is only 4 minutes away from home. And it is for this beach, Joaquina Beach (Florianópolis - Santa Catarina / SC - Brazil), that I walk almost every day to do the activity of Actifit. Despite the proximity to the sea, I have a hard time getting up early to shoot, but this is changing.

I made this image last year during a project i had in Coronie, Suriname.

As we headed out to the sea walls on the back of this super strong ox & cart I was amazed by the beauty we met along the way. Proving also that it is not only the destination that matters but the journey itself.

Coronie is one of 10 districts in one of the smallest countries in South America called Suriname.

Suriname is an unique country in south america being the only one which has dutch as its main language. With a mix of many cultures, religions and natural beauty, Suriname is a True Gem which i would highly recommend to any one wanting to travel to south america.

Another photo from my series done on my travel through South America. This one is from famous mountain Torres Del Pine in Chile. We helped ourselves with horseback riding, but as path on horse is really scary.

Photo of the Palacio Salvo, an iconic building in Monetvideo. It was the first “modern” skyscraper in the Uruguayan capital. It was built in the late 20’s of the 20th century and its style is *Art Decó. With its 100 meters it was the highest tower in Latinoamérica until the middle 30’s.

Volcan Baru, Panama. An impressive mountain side in the midst of this amazing country. 3475 m above sea level, it is the place to be to watch the sun rise. You can actually see both oceans if the weather is kind enough. 704 (1 von 1)-10.JPG

Mansa Beach, the beach of the beautiful sunsets. It is located in the town of Lecherias in the Anzoategui state of Venezuela. This is one of my favorite places to visit, because it always gives me a sunset with different tonalities and it never stops being beautiful. In this opportunity, two children shared this enjoyment, playing in front of the sun and receiving that pleasant energy of the sun hiding.

Quebrada de Humahuaca, declared World Heritage Site by Unesco since 2002, is a fascinating and unique place. The valley extends in the northwest of Argentina and leaves you breathless with its wonderful colors. It is a magical place.

A beautiful sunset at Playa Mansa. Venezuela one of my many favorite places to go to take pictures of sunsets and enjoy its masterful beauty, its colors and the freshness of this place.
