DTube Vlog #1 | Mines View Park Tour
May 9 2018 - After spending some time in tourist spots around Session Road, we decided to venture out further to the outskirts of Baguio, where there are also a number of famous attractions, one being Mines View Park. The park has a scenic viewpoint of Itogon, a mining town where the abandoned gold and copper mines of Benguet Corporation sits (hence the name of the park). While on their Observation Deck, we got a spectacular view of the great Cordillera Mountain Ranges.
Aside from sight-seeing, most of the activities in the park would have something to do with getting a souvenir form the place. You can have your picture taken with a St. Bernard or with the horses, or pose wearing Cordillera ethnic clothes. If you're interested in taking home goods instead, there are a lot of souvenir shops that offer a wide variety of Baguio merchandise; from weaved bags to hand-crafted artifacts.
A walk in this park is not like walking in any other park, as it involves more climbing than walking. But fret not, you will be able to easily recharge, as food stalls are abundant. You'll have plenty to choose from! You can go for buttered or grilled corn, grilled squid, fresh strawberries, barbecued fish or pork, and have coconut drinks to go with it. My little Sam and I tried the ube taho, a yam-flavored silken tofu, and we both loved it more than the strawberry-flavored one, which we found too sweet.

Interesting place with wonderful scenery of the mountains and a lot of green trees. It looks very nice atmosphere over there. Those flowers are very beautiful and the chilies are very big. The large dog and the horses are very cute. Ah! A lot of foods to try… I especially love the buttered and grilled corn. Very yummy!
