Nice posting of SOME of the wine country in Cali. I lived in California for over 27 years, usually within miles of a vineyard, and that was on highway 50 between Sacramento and South Lake Tahoe. With over 200 vineyards in that area alone, i suggest finding your favorite bottle through the year and then planning your trip near where it is made.

Great post though, love Monterey, Napa is just too "upturned nose" for me.....
