The Red Road Gives a Special Charm For Travelers In Krasnodar

Arriving in Krasnodar, and inquiring about any city inhabitants with the city's main sights, you will be advised to walk along the Red. This path is the same as Muscovites - the famous Arbat, or St. Petersburg - Nevsky Prospekt is magnificent.

The red road gives a special charm to our city. There are many historic buildings with unique architecture, beautiful fountains, well-preserved square, theater, and historical monuments. At the weekend, it turns into a continuous pedestrian zone, where guests and residents can walk safely without fear of a car crash. At the moment, street musicians, animators come here, everyone has a festive atmosphere, city dwellers have fun and rest.

The whole street is full of beautiful flowers and plants. There are many restaurants, bars, cafes, just pick your taste buds and your wallet. And today we will start our promenade from home where in 1959 there was a consumer union building (crossroads of Krasnaya and Mira streets).

The city authorities allow creative people to sell their products at Red (from Friday night to Sunday). Who carefully read the writing of the community we already know what crafts and beautiful products are displayed by the people craftsmen Kuban.

The familiar Art Museum building named Fedor Akimovitch Kovalenko is one of the oldest in the Caucasus. Previously it was the home of Batyrbek Shardanov engineer, now this is the architectural monument of the late XIX century.

And this house was built by architect Vasily Filippov in 1889 for General Ivan Nazarov. But the general was not destined to stay here. Later, his heirs sold the building to the military department, there were various shops, and on the second floor there were public institutions.

By the end of the nineteenth century, there was a club for officers and officials of the Cossack Kuban Army, whose chairman was the commander, who was also the head of the region. Amateur shows are held in the building, they come here for night dancing.

Today, here is the Office of the Federal Service for Natural Resources Supervision. Everywhere many lush trees are planted, all fragrant and brightly colored.

The next unusual building also belonged to pre-revolutionary times. Built in 1910 as an enclosed space for roller skating (the same place at that time was called a skating ring). But after some time, there is a cinema (electro-biographers). Over the years, the name has changed frequently (Monplaisir, Giant, Quarter). And today there is a modern shopping center.

You can also see trendy boutiques with elegant clothing, and select yourself from famous European brands. And if you do not have time to go, you can admire and display, at night they are very interesting.

Bright lighting and pleasant music will definitely grab your attention.

A little further we meet an expanded musical theater building. Nearby, interesting concerts are held and young performers perform. Previously, theater was called the operetta theater, and the first production took place in 1933.

A little away from the Red, we will see beautiful antique statues in the State Bank building - one of the most beautiful buildings in Krasnodar in neoclassical style. It was built in 1910 by the famous architect of Yekaterinodar, Ivan Malherb.

Originally the house was one floor, but already in 1914 decided to build a second floor, at the same time decorate the facade with sculptures and reliefs in the Greek style.

The interior decoration of the house was done by the famous sculptor Krasnodar Dietrich.

At night the house looks very different. Here, like 100 years ago, there was a financial institution (headquarters of the Central Bank of Russia).

And at the Red Cross and the world famous house decorated with big clocks. Built by Ishunin architect. Earlier, this watch was music: every 15 minutes played songs from Ryvkina Gregory and Gregory Ponomarenko songs.

Walk along Red, you'll meet clowns, and funny animators, and street artists. You will not lose anyone, not adults, or children.

Each building has its own history. In this house live the Hero of the Soviet Union Stepan Neustroev, the soldiers of the battalion hoisted Victory Banner over the Reichstag dome.
