Prague - Würzburg:565 km by Bike! Day 1
Hello Steemit,
im coming back at you with a new post. This is gonna be my first real post (excluding the introduceyourself-post).
Some maybe clicked on the title of this post and expected clickbait. But it is NOT! I guarantee it.
To get back on track (no pun intended), in this and my upcoming posts i wanna tell you a story about 4 guys, who met up in Prague desiring a challenge. They completed a 565 km trip in 6 days of biking and went all the way from Prague (Czech Republic) to Würzburg (Germany).
Introduction
My uncle and his father already did a biketrip last year. The went from London (thats where my uncle lives) to Paris in 3 days. Earlier this year they started planning another biking trip. And if you read my introduceyourself-post you already know that i am a huge fan of fitness and all kinds of fitness-related stuff. Therefore you and i know clearly, ihad to join them on this trip. The fourth person in this group is my uncles brother.
You probably wont believe it but this biking trip was, even though we are all relatives , pretty multinational regarding the residency of each single one of us.
My uncle (Vova) lives in London (Great Britain). His brother (Boris) lives in the Ukraine. And their father (Nikolai) came all the way from Maryland(USA) to Prague. And myself, as you already should know, I live in Germany (near Würzburg).
Great thanks to Nikolai, without him the whole trip would not have been possible. Nikolai was searching and creating the best route possible for this one big biking adventure.
And also a great thanks to Vlad for organizing all the overnight accommodations for this trip.
Biking-Trip preparation in Prague:
On the 26th of July we 4 met up in Prague in the evening. We went to a restaurant just to talk because we have not seen each other in whole while. Also we discussed some things concerning the upcoming biketrip.
The next day (27th of July) we went to Praha Bike and got the bikes that we booked for our trip. All the bikes were fine at the moment. We took the bikes and went back to our AirBnB-apartment. On the way back we found out one bike had a hile in the bicycle tire and had to go back to the shop to change it. The rest of the day we jsut walked around town a bit and in the evening we finished preparing ourselves for the upcoming adventure.
The adventure begins: DAY ONE
Friday the 28th of July we started our trip. As we were ready to leave, we found another hole in one of the bicycle tires.
Therefore one of us had to bike to the bike store where we rented our bicycles and get the bike repaired again. Our trip should´ve started at 9:00 A.M. but because of the tire, it got delayed by 1 hour and we only got to leave by 10:00 A.M.
The trip on day one was a distance of 110km. From Prague to Rakovnik.
As i do think pictures do speak for themselves and even more than words, i wil go ahead and spare you with my jaberring and just post some pictures of DAY ONE.

yeah, 99% of the trip the sun was shining. which was really nice (but on one day it was extremely hot, so we did start our trip at 7 am to finish it at noon and not risk any heatstrokes on anyone of us)
