Visiting Hong Kong
Hong Kong was the start of the Mega-play photo holiday. The main highlight of the mega play was to journey the uncharted city with my friends, Adam, Ben and Kenny. We ventured the streets of Causeway bay, Hong Kong Central, Tsim Sha Tsui, Mong Kok with cameras.
Other highlights on the Hong Kong trip included The Joe. Let there be light’ Workshop and Seminar. The Workshop was on Wednesday and the Seminar was on the Saturday, with both functions held at the Intercontinental Grand Standford Hotel in East Tsim Sha Tsui.
Things to expect when visiting Hong Kong:
- LOTS of people EVERYWHERE!!!
- Cheap food that taste really good.
- Shopping is cheap, if you are travelling from Australia.
- It is difficult to find clothes that are bigger than MEDIUM.
- Cantonese is the main language spoken, however in areas such as Tsim Sha Tsui, -
MongKok, Causeway Bay, Hong Kong Central – You can survive and get by with -
English, just be patient and friendly and you’ll be fine. Most labels and signs are in both Chinese and English . - About 98% of the time the city is covered in haze.
- Public transport is very efficient.
- Lots of people smoke cigarettes.
You really capture life in Hong Kong!
