Walking In Munich, Germany

in #travel6 years ago

After an exhausting 2100 km and all-night drive, we arrived at Munich. Check the post Driving From Estonia To Southern Germany if you want to see photos from that journey. When we arrived there, we didn't think about anything else than going to sleep because it was hard to stay up after 30 hours of straight driving. Still sleeping didn't happen that soon, we first went to take a beer lol.

The next day, the feeling was better and I was ready to roam around the city. Of course, we drank some more beer because we were in Germany goddammit. Oh these 1 liter big glasses of beer, these were great. I'm not actually the person who likes to walk around the cities and look at different architectures( cause I'm more of a natural man if it makes any sense haha ) but actually, it was pretty cool to see the buildings from Hitler times and stand at the places where this murderer once stood. Lets see some pics.DSC_0165.jpg

On the photo below is the German beach on the shore of the river. I actually can't imagine how it is to live with no sea or ocean near you, I just can't.

On the photo below you can see the building where Hitler ofter stood and had a speech. It was pretty strange to stand in the same place and see the same view he once saw.

Look there is still swastika's on the ceiling. I wonder this building still stands. Many of the buildings that were dear to Hitler have been demolished moreover all the hooks taken off the streets but this is still there. Pretty cool actually.

There is still one more part to come of the Munich city because there is so many pictures I want to share but its too much for one post, so you know what to do yeah? Stay tuned!

Nice post and pictures! Did you like the city? It is one of my favorite city in Germany :)

Thank you! Yes, I liked the city. Eventhough it was a big city, it felt pretty cosy there.

Oh yes, I totally agree. I don't think it feels like it is Germany's third biggest city ...
