Traveling through Denmark: Vesterdal Efterskole in Nørre Aaby
I'm traveling through Denmark with @geke (Stephanie) and today, on our way from Odense (to see the home of Hans Christian Andersen) to Øsby in Jylland (where Stephanie's great-great-grandfather was born), we passed by Nørre Aaby where I went to school in the mid 1970s. The school's name is Vesterdal Efterskole, which first started back in 1880 and is still in use today - in fact today they're just four days into the new school year. It was so wild to see and tour this school campus again, 40 years later!
This white building was the first school building, but the campus has grown a lot since then. The white building is now where students make ceramics (which was true also back in the 70s) and below is the main classroom building / cafeteria.
We found the picture from the 1975-76 school year hanging on the wall in the main building!

It was really cool to visit this place again and talk with the teachers and students!
Thanks for reading! All images above are original photographs
taken by @hanedane or @geke... in this case, of places in Denmark.
