MEXICO / CUBA TRIP 2/...

After havig a great time at Isla Mujeres and Playa del Carmen (Mexico), I landed in Habana airport Jose Marti.

In Habana I spent 7 days in Casa Particular „Oscar“.
Nice apartment wih fridge full of cold beer and ingredients for home made mojito cocktails.

The apartment is situated in „old Habana“, approx. 200 meters from main square.
At the main square there is a hotel INGLATERA with 24 hours of music and happy people on the roof top dancing day and night. I went there over night so I could share some nice photos and of course ... Mojito and Cuba Libre cocktails taste better after midnight.

During the days I had long walks through the streets of Habana, taking pictures, talking to local people, eating beautiful sea food, drinking cocktails...

Fish file, octopus in black sauce, some kind of seashell with rice, amazing !

Mojito with beer is something special and tastes great!

These pictures are taken in a small restaurant where live Cuban music does not stop all day.

Looking for fun in Habana? It is all around you and you just accept it.
Not one minute was borring.

Playing domino with local people ... they just invite you to play with them and have a drink.
Ofcourse for free.

Habana is at the same time beautiful ...

...and poor.

...but...

I will finish this post with positive words and pictures.

With an old „American taxy“ I drove 15 km from Habana to a beach called Santa Maria.

Everyone should try this.
