Trip review - part 2 - Nice

Hi guys!

In this trip review I would like to share couple of things what to see or do in Nice, France. First of all, Nice is positioned on the cost of the Mediterranean sea and therefore has medium cold winters and warm summers. Due to that there is a lot of people migrating from the north of the country during both winter and summer to Nice. Queen Elizabeth from England used to have her vacation house here but I am not sure if she still visits it or if they still own it.

Apart from that, Nice has a big and long Promenade des Anglais which is right next to the sea and therefore used by locals for long walks or running. This place is also place for all big events in Nice.

I would suggest to take one day and just walk around the city. Go to the Promenade, afterwards have a coffee at this scenic caffe place „Movida bar“ where you can also have some snacks, because it serves some nice tapas. I have tried fried squid and some fries which were very good, after it I tried couple of cocktails (Mojito, Cuba Libre) which I highly recommend.

Due to the position of this bar, you can easily have a walk in the old city and get lost in the smal alleys. Furthermore, if you get hungry again and like pubs, there are many options. Irish pub is not far away from the main old centre, while Ma Nolan's Vieux is another good place. Boths pubs have classical lager, black, red or white beer and apart from the booze they offer some snacks, burgers and stews (classical pub food).

The last thing I would like to mention is the hill above Nice, where the old castle ruins are, „Ancien Chateau“. If you get up there you will have a nice view of Nice and the sea. There is a caffe on the top as well so you can enjoy the view and have some drinks.
