India is basically a tourism country that acts as the host for millions of international tourists come to India every year. Thus, you can be very safe and comfortable here. So of Common Things You Know Before Travelling To India :-

#1) India is becoming a clean country. When it comes to drinking water, not all the sources are clean to drink safe water.Try to Always drink branded mineral bottled water even when you are staying in top most Hotel. while travelling in India Always carry Water bottle if you are going on an excursion.

#2) Dress decently while in India and India is a cultured with many people in India are orthodox so avoid public display of affection, always wear a dress with modesty. Publically display of love should be avoided as much as possible when you are in India.

#3) Indian food is generally spicy in flavours.
many of foreigners can't tolrated the mildest version of spicy food in India
So you are advised you need to always order less spicy version of food.

#4) India is comparatively a safe place. Still there are sime dangers in foreign lands.so Always stuck with main roads and crowded areas while travelling.

#5) If you are planning to visiting some remote area or remote location activities, always do these type of activity in groups. Your belongings are your own responsibility.
So Dont trust with anyone or your valuables.

#6) It was a decade before when sanitation is not good but Now Sanitation is good in India You can find decent public toilets in the top tourist Places or locations easily. But always carry paper soaps, wet wipes and hand sanitizers with you while travelling.

#7) India is very hot weather and dehydrating during season of summer. summers started in the month of March and ends by June. while you are in India Always carry package water bottles. never drink water from public Water dispensers.

#8) winter season are moderate to very cold in some places like hills [ Himachal Pradesh, Uttrakhand, Jammu & Kashmir &North East India] . In Southern states of India you would not find a big difference in winter season because of moderate climate in that regions.

#9) Indian Railways is the biggest Network of Trains in whole World.More Then 70% Of People Travelling Through trains.
Trains for state-to-state travel or for luxury train experience.
For travelling with-in the state travel in cabs are better. All the other public mode of transportation will be overcrowded.

#10) Taking away the currency of India [indian Rupee ₹]with you after your trip is an offense according to the law of india.
In airports and Many hotels there are many exchange counters where you can exchange your any of remaining rupees you have in hand. In all the decent shops and hotels they accept credit cards and debit cards. always convert needed amount of money into Rupee.

#11) Some temples and Gurudwara's other specific areas they have certain rules or dress code. so its always better to follow any rule that is imposed on you. Disobeying their traditional values is considered as an offense by many Indians. So obeyed Rules while You are visiting Specific Public areas.

#12) Hugging & kissing version of welcome is not considered as a normal in India so you should always followed Handshake or Namaskar is an act in which you bring your both of your hands in front of your chest & press the palms together with both hands. Slight your head bow is considered as a gesture of hospitality in India.

#13) In India especially children and locals get excited to see foreigners. Thus, you would have many eyes grazing over you wherever or wherever you walk in or travel in India and they are just curious & they mean no harm to you so Don’t be afraid of them.
