#TRAVELLING is Healing: Siquijor Island // Isla de Fuego
The Unforgettable Trip to Isla de Fuego
It was the glimmering sun that touched our skins and the sweet smell of breeze that kissed our hair then we knew that it was the season of summer.
An unexpected trip occured for the very last minute but as they say unplanned trips are the best. It was absolutely exciting to travel and visit the mystical island of Siquijor.
Siquijor has always been known as a place that performed witchcraft and was feared by people a long time ago. Today, let’s just eradicate those thoughts and enjoy the fresh sea breeze, blue relaxing sea, and the emerald green waterfall. Take away all the negative vibes and embrace the positive outlook in life.
I’ve always considered travelling as a therapeutic method and it has never failed to ease this mess of mine. The blue calm sea gave peace inside this troubled heart and the trees that greeted me along the way made my frown turn upside down. As I set my foot on powdered white sand, I felt relaxed and an electrified feels flowed into my body with a message of healing.
The scenic view in front of me brought healing into my eyes filled with smoke and black tears. As I dip myself into the calm blue sea, the salty water staunched the wounds of my being. It’s gentle waves embraced me with comfort. I was in awe of how nature knew the sorrow that I’ve been through yet they offer a therapy that would form me back into shape.
I’ve always believed that before we reach paradise, there are obstacles we need to pass and I’ve witnessed that in Cambugahay Falls. We had to journey the steep stairs before we could reach the emerald green waterfall. Though it was difficult and tiresome, I had realizations during the walk that not everything even the best of things comes easy.
We finally had a glimpse of Cambugahay falls, it was undeniably beautiful. It’s body shimmered and glowed just as an emerald. There was no doubt of its regality the waterfall was just majestic. The flow of its streams were making music into our ears.
The trees that surrounded the waterfall were beautiful and enormous. They greeted us with their lively green leaves with pride. The birds sang in unison with harmonized tweets and flew around the trees under the great blue sky.
The vine swinging activity made us experienced how it felt like to be Tarzan. It was fun swinging with the vines and it shaked all the worries away. As we let our hands off the vine, it also felt like letting go of all the toxics in life and the emerald water caught us with its gentle touch and deep comfort.
Rendering time for yourself is not a bad idea. We’re human and we need that relaxing, calming, and positive vibes that would help us rebuild our broken empire.
I hope that you would find healing and therapy through your travels.
Much Grace!
