Some Quality Time Spent With Some Orphans In An Orphanage | Lifetime Experience
First of all, let me tell you all that this is neither my story nor was I present there to take any picture. The elaboration of the story and photos taken are exclusively copyrighted to Arka Gupta. I came to know about this day before yesterday and I thought why not I share the story in my words to this platform...
I've tried to give this a feel of my own experience. I tried to make it as my own narration and that's why you might feel that I was the person who's been to the place and experienced everything I described.
Let's get started .....
Pardon me as it's not just the so-called travelogue. It's just a few kindergarten children in an orphanage. And this time I was in that orphanage.
Near Dhaniaikhali of Hooghly District (West Bengal), there is an orphanage named "Shantidham" (in English it's called PEACE HOUSE) in Belmuri, where there are 21 young children.
The founders of "Shantidham" (PEACE HOUSE) Sandipada and Purnimadi, are running this Ashram by doing hawkery on local trains. The children of this monastery are being grown up with daily constant problems, poverty and scarcity. It felt really good to see that despite poverty, every child's life has been filled with unimaginable smiles and pleasures.
That fellow traveller's (Arka Gupta) daughter Pekhm completed 3 years on that occasion, They all went to the "Shantidham" (PEACE HOUSE) together to spend some happy & quality time with these beautiful children.
If you wish you can visit the Ashram at any time, hope you will love it.
How to get to that place?
Take a local train from Howrah Station on Howrah-Burdwan Chord Line and get down to Belmuri Station, it's hardly 5 to 7 minutes walking distance from the station to the "Shantidham" Orphanage...
