The next stage is “tinning”, that is, rubbing aluminum powder into the surface of the product. It is also performed manually by a sheep skin swab. After the tinning, the objects acquire a beautiful white-mirror shine and are ready for painting.

Painted products are coated with a special lacquer 4-5 times (with intermediate drying after each layer) and, finally, quenched for 3-4 hours in a furnace at a temperature of + 150 ... +160 ° C until a golden-colored oil-lacquer film is formed. So it turns out the famous "Golden Khokhloma."
