Trip Hanoi Vietnam - Funny Food - part #5 🇻🇳 อาหารอร่อยที่เวียดนาม (ภาคสุดท้ายจ้าา) 🇻🇳

Every country has its own culture and food, and my travels to Vietnam, have taught me so much through experience. Before, I was like a bird, having lived in one nest my entire life, but now I have gone abroad, and have widened by perspective on life. This is the last part of my Vietnam travel blog - and I have to say that I am grateful to have had such an adventure for the first time in my life. Thank you to my boyfriend for helping, and taking care of me through this journey, from start to finish.

ถ้าจะพูดถึงรสชาติอาหาร วัฒนธรรมของเเต่ละประเทศก็ล้วนเเตกต่างกัน หลายๆอย่างกับการท่องเที่ยวครั้งนี้ทำให้เรามีประสบการณ์มากขึ้น จากเป็นนกที่คอยอยู่เเต่ในรัง พอมีโอกาศได้ออกจากรัง ก็เจอสิ่งใหม่ๆ ความเเปลกใหม่ นี้ก็จะเป็นภาคสุดท้ายละที่เอามาเล่าให้เพื่อนๆ ได้ดูได้อ่าน.. อย่างน้อยครั้งหนึ่งในชีวิตเราก็มีโอกาสได้เจอสิ่งที่ไม่เจอ ต้องขอบคุณผู้ร่วมเดินทางครั้งนี้ ที่คอยให้ความช่วยเหลือ ให้ความดูเเลหลายๆอย่าง ตั้งเเต่ไปเเละกลับ...

Now, back to the food ;) This soup is ... well, I don't know what it's called, but it has snails, and it's a noodle soup... and it was okay... not bad, but not the best.

ก๋วยเตี๋ยวหอยขมนั้นเอง ก่อนที่เราจะกินก็ต้องยอมรับเลยว่า เอิ่มมม มันจะเข้ากันหรอ เเล้วเราต้องมากินอะไรจริงๆหรอ... พอทำใจได้ก็เร่ิมหาพิกัด เเล้วเดินตามเเผนที่ต่อไป... ไปถึงที่ร้านก็จะเห็น หอยตั้งอยู่ข้างหน้า มีโต๊ะนั่งข้างหน้าเเละตรอกเดินเข้าไปข้างหลัง

The woman chef, sat at the front, with a pot of aromatic snails - once we placed our order, they ushered us to a back seating area.

เเละนี้คือทางเข้าไปนั่งข้างใน.. เขาใช้พื้นที่เเค่นี้จริงๆในการทำอาหาร พื้นที่เล็กๆ มีหม้อน้ำซุป ถ้วยไว้ใส่ก๋วยเตี๋ยว

We didn't wait long, to take a selfie...

รอสักพักก็จะมี มีเสริฟ ก่อนกินก็ต้องเซลฟี่ สักหน่อย

This is the noodle, and snail soup. It had three big snails, and many small snails - they also pick green onion, plus there were condiments on the side, similar to Pho - chili, garlic, pepper, etc. Plus many vegetables.

น่าตาของก๋วยเตี๋ยวหอยขมก็จะเป็นเเบบนี้ เส้นจะเหมือนกับเส้นขนมจีนเเบบบ้านเรา มีเนื้อหอยตัวใหญ่ 3 ชิ้น เเละก็หอยขมตัวเล็กๆ โรยด้วยต้นหอมผักชี มีเครื่องปรุง คล้ายๆกับเฝอ เเละก็ตามด้วยผักสด หลายๆชนิด ราคาถ้วยละ 35000 VND ประมาณ 50 กว่าบาทไทย

We walked through many side streets, and seen many small snail-shops, where people eat the snails from the shell, and then dip in the sauce... but we didn't try :( - maybe it's a good excuse to go back ;)

เราสังเกตว่าตามข้างถนนก็จะมีหลายๆร้านที่มีหอยเขาจะกินคล้ายๆกับลวกจิ้ม บ้านเรา คือสั่งหอยเเล้วก็มีน้ำจิ้ม เห็นคนกินเยอะมากๆ เเต่เราไม่ได้เข้าไปลอง

Next item on the menu, was Bun Cha. Bun, means noodles. Cha, means grilled pork. The dish comes with cut pork, which you're then advised to dip into a soupy sauce. In the soup there was garlic, chili, and cut papaya. Vegetables are also served on the side. Noodles were served on the side, they too must be dipped.

มาต่อกันด้วยอาหารเมนูต่อไปกันเลยนะคะ เมนูนี้เรียกว่า
Bún Chả (บุ๋นจ่า ) เป็นอาหารปรlะจำท้องถิ่นของคนฮานอย บุ๋น คือเส้นขนมจีน จ่า คือหมูย่าง ทั้งแบบเป็นก้อนและเป็นชิ้น ใส่ลงในน้ำจิ้มใสๆหวานนิดๆ มีพริก กระเทียม มะละกอหั่น เสริฟมาพร้อมกับเส้นขนมจีนและผัก เช่น ถั่วงอก ผักชีเวลา ผักบุ้งฝอย ฯลฯ เวลากินเราก็นำเส้นขนมจีนจุ่มลงในน้ำแกงแล้วกินเป็นคำๆ

We ate Bun Cha in a touristy restaurant for 60,000 dong (89 Thai baht), but it wasn't the best meal we had, because the sauce was very sweet... and despite my being Thai, I don't like my meals to be too sweet... unless it's a candy, because I love candy... that being said, I didn't give up on Bun Cha, because I tried again, and it was much better the second time, unfortunately - I didn't take a picture. But I did take a picture when I exited the first restaurant, please see below ;)

เราทาน บุ๋นจา ในร้าน ราคา 60000 VND โดยส่วนตัวเรา เราว่ามันหวานไป เเต่ก็อดไม่ได้ที่จะลองร้านอื่น ไม่ใช่ร้านอาหารหรูราคาย่อมเยา เเละรสชาติดีกว่าไม่หวานมาก เสียดายไม่ได้เก็บภาพมาฝาก พอกินเสร็จก็เดินออกจากร้าน

The next thing we ate was Chao, which is basically rice porridge, or congee. At first, I thought it was sweet, which made me sooo excited, because I had a sweet tooth, and I figured it must be sweet, because it was seemed popular... but after the first bite... wow, I was shocked... not what I expected. It was warm, and mushy, and salty... with bread and pork. It was good, just a little surprising. Look at my face, I was very happy, even with the initial shock - why you might ask? Because I looovvvveee food :)

"จ๋าว" (cháo) หรือโจ๊ก เมนุนี้ตอนเเรกเราเดินไปสั่งเห็นเขานั่งทานตอนกลางคืน คิดว่าเป็นของหวานหรือป่าว เเต่พอชิมเข้าไป อ้อออ นี้โจ๊ก ใส่หมูหยอง ใส่ปาท่องโก๋ คล้ายๆกับบ้านเรา รสชาติก็เหมือนกับโจ๊กธรรมดาเเต่เราไม่เคยกินโจ๊กที่ใส่ปาท่องโก๋เลยไม่รู้มาก่อนว่า นี้มันคือ โจ๊ก รสชาติถือว่าใช้ได้ ดูหน้าอิช้อยสิคะ เมื่อมีอาหารเข้าปาก 555

Next we have Che, which is sweet! Even though I was full, I knew that I needed to try this popular dish. We have a similar dish in Thai, which is a mixture or fruits, nuts, sweet flavored gelatin - similar to gummy bear. They serve Che everywhere in Vietnam, some in a cup, some in a bowl.

Chè (แจ่) ของหวาน สำหรับของหวานเวียดนามก็คล้ายๆกับบ้านเรามีให้เลือกใส่มากมาย ช่น ข้าวโพด ถั่วแดง ลอดช่อง เฉาก๋วย ฯลฯ
บางร้านใส่ถ้วย บางร้านใส่แก้ว แล้วโปะน้ำแข็ง

The sweetness level was a lot lower than the Thai version, but it wasn't bad. It cost 10000 dong (15 Thai baht) - not very expensive.

สำหรับเรา เราว่ารสชาติมันไม่หวานม๊ากก เเบบบ้านเรา ถือว่าโอเคเลยก็ว่าได้ ราคา ถ้วยละ 10000 VND ประมาณ 15 บาท ถ้าเป็นของหวานบ้านเรา ถ้วยเล็กๆ ก็ 10 บาท เนอะ

Next item on the menu - tea. And it's a very popular drink... many Vietnamese people sit down, - while they drink, eat sunflower seeds, laugh, and gossip - they look very happy. Some people smoke a hooka(similar to tobacco) like substance.

Chè , (เเจ)น้ำชา Trà chanh (จ่าแจง) น้ำชามะนาว การดื่มชาเป็นธรรมเนียมของเวียดนาม เรามักจะเห็นคนเวียดนามนั่งดื่มชาตามข้างถนนเป็นกลุ่มๆ โดยบางคนก็จะมีเมล็ดทานตะวันไว้นั่งเเทะ เเละก็สนทนากันอย่างมีความสุข บางร้านก็จะกระบอกยาสูบใหญ๋ไว้ให้บริการลูกค้าที่มานั่งเเละก็ขายยาเส้น

We ordered lemon tea. We have a similar drink in Thailand, but again, the Vietnamese don't like it as sweet as the Thai. We sat across from the St. Joseph Church. There are many people here during the evening. We watched youtube to confirm that this was the best place to go.

ชาที่เราสั่งกินเป็นชามะนาว รสชาติก็คล้ายๆกับบ้านเราเเต่บ้านเราจะหวานกว่าหน่อย ที่เรานั่งใกล้ โบสถ์โจเซฟ ในช่วงกลางคืนจะมีวัยรุ่นพลุกพล่าน คนมานั่งกินร้านนี้กันเยอะ ก่อนที่เราจะได้มานั่งกินก็ดูจากยูทูปเขาบอกว่า ร้านนี้เเหละอร่อยที่สุด ต้องอยู่หัวมุมเเละตรงข้ามกับโบสถ์

We have joy, we have fun, and we have tired - all rolled into one. But I wasn't sad, I was very happy, so when I look back on this adventure, it brings a smile to my face.
