Back to my hometown... Olango island!

in #travel6 years ago

Good day steemians,

Last sunday we've been to my Home-Olango island (Tingo) to visit our grandmother and relatives. Early at 5:00 in the morning we already prepared and packed our things up so that we can get there early. But because my mother at 8:00am was still washing their clothes and me and my brother cooked food for our breakfast we were not able to board the early trip. It's already 10:00am when we got to angasil port (it's where we rode a boat going to Olango Island) and the weather was not that good. It was rainy and windy. And to our surprised, the port was so crowdy, it was full of passengers, motorcycles, and tourists. And because we arrived at the port late, we've waited until 11:30am in the line until it was our turn to ride.

We arrived to my grandmother's house at around 12:00nn and we were so hungry. Glad that my auntie and uncle already prepared our lunch. And all of us there had our lunch together. We visited our other relative's house. We had a little chit chat. My kids took a swim in the sea near to grandma's house. Because it's a little bit windy and rainy, they enjoyed swimming, splashing their bodies to the waves.

At 2:00pm me, my husband @marlon82, my kids, my brother and his girlfriend decided to have a joyride (with our motorcycle) and visit some tourist spots. Our cousin was with us as our tour guide. But sadly, we just able to visit one place which is the Marine Sanctuary or they commonly call it Boardwalk because of the long bamboo bridge that you are going to cross. Upon crossing the long bamboo bridge you'll reach the floating restaurant. We enjoyed taking pictures specially my daughter because she made her father as her photographer. We were amazed by the view, the fresh air, and the colorful fishes. If you want to stay long, you can rent their tables, chairs and life jacket for those who wants to take a swim. You only have to pay Php25.00 for the entrance fee and you can enjoy all day without limit with that small amount. You can also bring your own food (baon) for you to be able to save.

When it was already late we decided to go back to grandmother's house and packed up our things. We got to Sta. Rosa port at around 5:00 in the afternoon. And again, it was rainy and windy. The passengers waiting line was so long. They all got wet because the waiting area is just the terminal road and it's very open, the rain and waves splashing to them. And since i have my little boy with me (2 months old), i got the priority to be the first passenger to go inside the boat followed by mother and son. And my husband was still in his line waiting for the next boat. We hot home tired and a little bit wetbut thank God we all safe.
