The Breathtaking Waterfalls in Southern part of Cebu, Philippines: Kawasan Falls

Located at just a hundred and thirty kilometers away from Cebu City, a jaw dropping beauty of a waterfall will be found inside the mountains of Barangay Matutinao in the Municipality of Badian.

From the entrance, tourists will get to walk uphill for about half an hour (1.5km) to get to the main destination or the first and the largest of three waterfalls . Better wear some trekking attires to enjoy more of the hiking aside from being able to be amazed in the site-seeing.

After a perspiring yet enjoyable walk, I was able to witness the peaceful and beauty of a waterfall from a natural spring. I can feel the gentle hush of the rushing, turquoise and ice cool water. Can't barely wait to take a dip. 😍

We rent a table for us to use for 500 pesos, it's about 10 bucks. Souvenir shops, food stops and a restaurant can be found in the site. But good thing we bought some foods along the way in our ride, their foods are quite expensive and prices are not marked.

After prepping our things and our swimming attire, we then went and experience the coolness of the water. Brrrrrr! It was cooler than I expected and it's deeper than what I thought. Until now, I still wonder how it got its beautiful color.

If you want a little bit of adventure, bamboo rafts are for rent (300php/$6) to take you around the "pool" of the waterfall and experience a refreshing "shower massage" under the falling water. 😌

From the first waterfall, there's a need to walk for 15 minutes to get to the second waterfall and another 15 minutes to the third waterfall. The second and third waterfalls may be smaller but it's more peaceful because it's not that touristy than the first one. Rafts for rent are also available in these parts. 🙂👌🏼

Kawasan Falls is a great destination for adventure seekers. Canyoneering and canyoning are also available in the location, yet we didn't avail those due to time shortage. But you should try it though whenever you get to visit Kawasan Waterfalls. 🤗
This place is surely a great getaway destination to relax and discover more in the wonders of nature.
