The Ancient Tianning Temple, A Landmark Building of Changzhou

Tianning Temple was built in Tang Dynasty, and it has a long history of more than one thousand and three hundred years. 

It is also located in the center of Changzhou, and it is not far away from Qingguo Lane I showed you yesterday.

The incense of this temple is very strong, and it attracts people around the world who believe in Buddhism to burn incense and pray. And most local people go to the temple to pray during Spring Festival, especially every Spring Festival's Eve, the temple is full of people, who are waiting for the bell in the midnight.

Nearly twenty years ago, the temple had begun to build Tianning Pagoda, which is the highest pagoda in China and has thirteen floors. It is magnificent and you can see the whole beautiful view of the city at the top of the pagoda.
