Gili Trawangan

Gili Trawangan is one of 3 little breathtaking islands about 30 mins speedboat ride from the mainland of Lombok, Indonesia. This little island is drawing tourists from all over the world because of its lovely sandy beaches, gently swaying palm trees, awesome things to do on land and at sea and friendly inhabitants.

The only modes of transportation on the island are bicycles and horse drawn carriages. Motorised vehicles are disallowed. You could always walk; excellent exercise and a proper good way to explore, to 'stop and smell the roses' at your own pace. You will suffer no real hardship traversing this small island.

Even if you have never dived before, there are centres that provide 3 day open water courses . You can become a certified diver and receive a permanent license to dive unsupervised to a maximum depth of 18 meters. This license is valid worldwide for the rest of your life!

Nightlife is vibrant and happening on this 'party island' with loud music and busy bar hopping. Lively party scene! You can have it rowdy or quiet. Away, from the energetic liveliness, it can be romantic or enjoyable just relaxing on the beach or taking a dip in the cool tropical water.
