Versailles, the times of Louis 14 " king the sun"

Apartment in Versailles, 20 minutes walk from the Palace became our home for 5 days. On the last day of our stay we planned to spend in the Park of Versailles, to walk and enjoy the wonderful Park.
But our plans changed striking workand railway. They have a strike on schedule: 2 days on strike, 3 days work as usual. Our first day fell just on the day of the strike. And this was fate)



We got to the evening and night show with fireworks and fountains in Versailles.
Fountains of Versailles at night look special. Each fountain is a separate show, with foam, bubbles, light, lasers and music. Gardens and waters of Versailles dance to the beat of the era of Louis XIV king Sun.



The action is truly unforgettable and this show is really worth a visit. It really all starts in advance, as many participants are going for a few hours to learn court dances, arranged in the gallery of the Orangerie, and going there not just to dance, but rather to show themselves: all participants in advance dress up in costumes of the Sun King, Shine crinolines, wigs, jewelry and turns and are undoubtedly one of the main attractions for tourists and part of all the subsequent action. After the fireworks and the night show for them, as well as many pre-registered and prepared, in one of the Palace buildings, an annual ball is arranged.



The main fountains are highlighted throughout the show and each splash and play of water is accompanied by a certain music. The Museum has developed several routes for viewing the fountains, which are included to the music at different times: thus, all visitors have the opportunity to explore one by one all the fountains "participating" in the show. And in the end, a grandiose salute is arranged over the Central channels, comparable in beauty with rare "festival" salutes, in my opinion.
