This is the seventh article of this series. In this article, I will discuss the details of the plan of seeing the magnificent canyon in the Taroko in Hualien.
Many people are confused or feel that it is not easy to go to the Taroko in Hualien. If you don't have much time or energy to research, this article will be very suitable for you. What we want to discuss today is the transportation. How to use the most simple and high CP value way to arrive at the Taroko in Hualien, especially if your trip is only five to eight days, this article will be very important to you.
Here I make a small conclusion first. The following way is the easiest way, saves a lot of time, money, energy and safer. and in this way won’t let you feel too hard or tired.
The first step is to arrive at Taoyuan International Airport, and take the Taoyuan Airport MRT to Taipei Main Station. Staying in Taipei for one night. The next day, take the train “Tze-Chiang Limited Express” from Taipei Railway Station to Hualien Railway Station. I will choose to stay in Hualien city and rent a motorcycle in Hualien City. You can ride a motorcycle to Taroko and other places in Hualien on these days.
On the return journey is the same, take the train “Tze-Chiang Limited Express” from Hualien Railway Station to Taipei Station, stay in Taipei for one night, and take the Taoyuan airport MRT to Taoyuan International Airport the next day.
I have to write this in detail because many travelers will suffer a lot in the transportation to the Taroko. From Taipei Railway Station to Hualien Railway Station, the estimated time of the fastest train “Tze-Chiang Limited Express” is at least two and a half hours to three and a half hours, and the tickets always sold out very fast. People who are not familiar with the local transportation will frequent changing and renting transportation and make this trip harder.
After arriving at Taoyuan International Airport, as the photo shown below, take the Taoyuan Airport MRT from the Airport Terminal 1 or the Airport Terminal 2 to the Taipei Main Station. The first key point is that to remember to choose the express type. The estimated time to the Taipei Main Station is 40 minutes. Don't take the Commuter type, this way at least let you save some time and strength.

The second key point is that the last Metro to the Airport Terminal 2 is on 11:30 PM, the earliest Metro to the Airport Terminal 2 is on 6:00 AM, so if you arrive the airport before the daybreak, you can consider waiting for the metro on 6:00 in the morning.
As the photo below shown, the Taipei Main Station of the Taoyuan Airport MRT(the gray one) is not close to the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei MRT. It may take 15 to 20 minutes to carry the baggage. Just follow the indicator of the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei MRT.
So I would recommend staying in Taipei for one night on the first day of arrival, which will save you more energy and time. Also, we can consider staying at the hotels at the Ximen MRT Station, which is only one stop away from the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei MRT. We will discuss the accommodation in the next article.
After getting off the plane, take the express of the Taoyuan Airport MRT to the Taipei Main Station, walk from the Taipei Main Station of the Taoyuan Airport MRT to the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei MRT, and take the Taipei MRT to the hotel you booked. Even this is the easiest and fastest way, it still needs to take more than two hours to check in and rest.
Not to mention the other ways: take the bus and transfer to HSR (High-Speed Railway), take the bus and transfer to the railway, take the bus to the Taipei city, or directly take the taxi, all these ways are expensive complicated or spending a lot of time. Many travelers always take suffer after getting off at Taoyuan Airport and that affect their first impression a lot before.
Therefore, it is highly recommended to live in Taipei for one day, otherwise, you will be very tired on your first day.
The next day we can take the train from Taipei Railway Station to the Hualien Railway Station. The Taipei Railway Station’s location is next to the Taipei Main Station of the Taipei MRT. The most important thing is that we need to book the train tickets before we take the plane, because the tickets from Taipei Railway Station to Hualien Railway Station is very easy to sold out.
on the other hand, the official ticket booking website of the Taiwan Railway is very unfriendly, people will feel very uncomfortable when they using this website to book the tickets for the first time, and it really really need to take patience to use it.

Then this screen will appear the photo below. Select the departure date, departure station and arrival station. No.100 is Taipei, No.51 is Hualien.
In “select train type”, we usually choose the fastest train “Tze-Chiang Limited Express”

Before you choose one of the train numbers which fit your trip schedule, We can go to another website to find out the price and the estimated time of these train numbers on the departure date, to decide the train number which fit your trip.
The one-way ticket is roughly 15 USD dollars, and it is not too expensive.

Back to the Taiwan Railway official website homepage, we can press the "round trip tickets booking” area, and choose the “order round-trip tickets using train no." to book the round-trip ticket.
Here I use the one-way ticket for example.

The first point is that on the ticket can only start booking at the 14 days before the departure date. Remember to online payment. The ticket is valid after online payment.
The second point is that we have to pick up the ticket half an hour before the departure time of the train, so my suggestion is that after taking a rest in our hotel, and pick up the ticket at a nearby convenience store. The I-Bon machine in "7-11" or the machine in the "Family" can pick up the ticket. It's fine if you don’t know how to operate the "ibon" machine, you can kindly ask the clerk there to help you to solve this problem.
In this article, we can easily get the round-trip transportation down that usually takes a lot of time to research. It will save you a lot of time, money and energy, and no longer have to worry about these things.

这一篇是这次系列的第七篇。我这里要继续讨论的是到花莲太鲁阁看壮丽的峡谷地形这个行程。
很多人会对如何到太鲁阁这件事感到很困惑或着是感到并不是那么容易，如果你没有太多的时间或精力去研究的话，这一篇文章会非常的适合你。我们今天要先讨论的是在交通方面，如何用最间单及高CP值的方式到太鲁阁。如果你的旅行天数只有五到八天的话，这篇文章会对你非常重要。
先作个小结论。以下这样子的方式是最简单的，省下很多时间，金钱和精力，也更安全，并且让你不会感到太辛苦或疲惫的。
首先是抵达桃园国际机场，搭桃园机场捷运系统到台北车站，在台北住一个晚上。隔天搭火车自强号从台北火车站到花莲火车站。我会选择住在花莲市，在花莲市租摩托车。我们可以在这几天骑摩托车到太鲁阁及花莲的其他地方。
回程的时候一样，从花莲火车站搭火车自强号坐到台北火车站，在台北住一个晚上，隔天搭桃园机场捷运系统到桃园国际机场。
为什么我要写的这么详细，因为很多旅行者都会在去太鲁阁的交通方面吃尽苦头，单单从台北火车站到花莲火车站的时间，坐最快的自强号都要至少两个半小时到三个半小时，而且车票会非常快就卖光。不熟悉当地交通方面的人会频繁的换交通工具跟租交通工具，并且让这趟旅行更加辛苦。
首先抵达桃园国际机场后，如下面的图，坐桃园机场捷运从机场第一航厦或第二航厦坐到台北车站，第一个重点是要记得坐直达车Express，坐到台北车站大致上是40分钟。不要坐普通车Commuter，至少可以帮你节省一些时间跟体力。
第二个重点是几乎每天最晚一班车从机场第二航厦出发是11:30PM，最早一班车是6:00AM，所以如果你是在凌晨抵达的话，可以考虑等一早6:00的班次。
如下图所示，桃园机场捷运线的台北车站（灰色的）跟台北捷运线的台北车站并不近，可能要拖着行李走15到20分钟，只要跟着往台北捷运线的台北车站的指标走就可以。所以我会建议抵达的第一天在台北住一晚， 这样会让你节省最多体力跟时间。
我们也可以考虑在最近的西门捷运站的旅馆，离台北捷运线的台北车站只有一站的距离，关于住宿的部份我们会在下一篇讨论。
从下飞机后，入境之后到机场捷运线坐直达车到台北车站，在从桃园机场捷运的台北车站走到台北捷运的台北车站，再坐台北捷运到预订的旅馆住宿，即使这个是最简单最快的方法，到你可以到旅馆休息还是要花两个多小时的时间。
更不要说其他坐客运转高铁，坐客运转火车，坐客运到台北市，搭计程车等等其他很贵或复杂或花很多时间的方式。很多旅行者光是刚在桃园机场下飞机就吃了苦头，导致他们的第一印象不好。所以强烈建议在台北住一天，不然真的第一天就累坏自己。
隔天我们就可以从台北火车站搭火车到花莲站，台北火车站的位置就在台北捷运线的台北车站旁边。
最重要的是我们要在搭飞机之前先订好火车票，因为台北往返花莲的自强号的车票非常容易卖光。此外台铁的订票网站非常的不亲民，第一次用的人会觉得非常的不舒服，使用上真的非常的需要耐心。
当然我的价值就是在这篇跟你们说明，如何用最简单的方式来订火车票。
首先进入台铁的订票网站后， 因为台北往返花莲的自强号的票非常容易卖光，所以我们要先查询剩余的票。首先按左上角的“订单程票”，选择“查询剩余车票”
然后会出现这个画面。选择出发日期，出发车站跟抵达车站。 No.100是台北，No.51是花莲。车种通常是选择最快的自强号。
下图就是目前有剩余车票的班次。
在选定符合你行程所要的车次之前，我们可以到另一个网页查询你可以坐的这几个车次，在当天时段的价格跟坐车花费时间，来决定要订的车次。单程票大致上是15块美金，也不会算太贵。
回到台铁首页就可以按”订来回票”，选择“车次订来回票”来完成订票了，一次可以订好来回的火车票。
我这边是用单程票当例子。
如果你看到如同下面的图，显示订好票的话，就可以网路刷卡。也就是我下面图的指标部份。
第一个重点是坐车日期的前14天才可以开始订票，订好票要记得网路刷卡付费。
有网路刷卡付费这张票才真的算是有效的。
第二个重点是发车前半小时一定要去取票，所以我的建议是到旅馆后，到附近的便利商店取票，7-11的IBON机或Family的机器取票都可以，不会操作也没关系，再亲切的询问店员请求帮忙就可以了。
在这篇我们把最需要花时间研究的来回交通给轻松的搞定，一定可以节省你很多时间跟金钱，不用再为这些事情烦恼。关于花莲租摩托车的部份及住宿的部份我们会在下一篇文章继续讨论。
