Look what we found in the Ulchisar Castle!

We spotted an old Spindle Wheel. Neat eh?

Spindle wheels were used for spinning cotton with short-length wools.

Turkish people made their own carpets. First they needed to spin the wool with these spinning wheel. This is how they tighten the fibers to form yarns.

This is how these beautiful carpets are made. Today, you still find many of these machines in the carpet shops.

There are so many interesting things to see here in Ulchisar.

Make sure you spend a couple of days exploring this interesting town.

It is an easy drive from Goreme to Ulchisar.
