Olá! Today i am going to write about my trip to the marvelous city - RIO DE JANEIRO

13.jpg

Me and my brother, we worked on a project for the brazilian brand "SADIA- HOT POCKETS".
we won an award for it and were invited by the brand to RIO.

2.jpg

From the world-famous beautiful beaches of Copacabana and Ipanema to the magnificent summits of
Corcovado and Sugarloaf, There were so many extraordinary places we visited and experienced in RIO.

20.jpg

First of all we had an amazing time during our stay at the beautiful and luxurious hotel - The Belmond Copacabana palace,

4.jpg

Many famous people have stayed here over the years like - Madonna, Michael Jackson, Walt Disney, Rolling Stones, Marilyn Monroe ,bob marley and many more. We saw justin timberlake and martin sheen during our stay there. Bieber checked in a few days later.

Copacabana palace faces the world famous Copacabana Beach,
and is only minutes from the business centre, the Ipanema and Leblon districts of Rio.

All along Copacabana and Ipanema beach you'll see beautiful sidewalks.
7.jpg

There are little cabanas everywhere that sell food and various drinks,
specially the national drink of brazil and my favorite, the caipirinhas.
We really had an unforgettable time on these two beaches.

8.jpg

Markets here are great as well.
They are just as much about the local flavors and live music as they are about the shopping.
You will meet a lot of friendly locals and artists out there.

9.jpg

One thing i would like to mention here is that Rio is not a violent city as the media shows.
Bad things can happen to anyone anywhere and yes Rio too can be dangerous for the tourists.
So just follow the same rules you’d follow anywhere else in the world.
Don’t walk alone at night without accompanied by a local, always be very alert and aware about your surroundings,
keep your phone and wallet well hidden etc.

Rio's Favelas are the Brazilian version of ghettos, where the city’s poorest residents live.
favelas have a reputation for being risky and dangerous for tourists and
foreigners are advised never to enter a favela without a local guide.

10.jpg

So We spent a lot of time strolling through these Colorful and lively markets and enjoyed the music, art, local dishes and
bought many souvenirs.
I recommend learning a little Portuguese before you go there as very few people speak english.

14.jpg

Next on our list was Rio’s most recognizable landmarks - Christ the Redeemer statue (In Portuguese Cristo Redentor).
which is located on the summit of Mount Corcovado.

15.jpg

from up there, you get to see some of the most grandest breathtaking views of the entire city
and being there was truly a magical experience.

16.jpg

Then we went to one of the largest music festivals in the world the "ROCK IN RIO"
which had some of the top international artists performing there.

Sugarloaf Mountain is another hot spot in Rio.
from where you can enjoy the most sensational postcard panoramic views of the whole city.

3.jpg

Rich in culture, music, nature, history, nightlife and the
the amazing beaches of course,

12.jpg

Rio is such a colorful and vibrant place that people come back here again and again.

Could you share a brief itinerary and rough budget from New Delhi?

Sure ,i'll share it with you , Rough Budget is around 4-5 Lakhs per person . There is no direct flight from Delhi to Rio , So you have to go through Dubai or Amsterdam.

4-5 Lakhs :O
