Monument to the graduates of the school
On April 1, 1918, the Ulyanovsk Higher Military Technical School was 70 years old. On the eve of this date, a sculptural composition dedicated to the graduates of the Ulyanovsk State Technical University named after I. Bohdan Khmelnytsky.
In Soviet times, there were three military schools in Ulyanovsk — a tank, a technical, and a communications school. Now they are not there, they are disbanded.
So, in front of the former military school there is a square dedicated to the military technical school.
In 1960, this school was relocated from Ukraine and was engaged in training military personnel until 2011.
In the military, the main stages of the school’s development are clearly, briefly and clearly marked on the stands that are installed along the perimeter of the public garden.
Graduates of the military-technical school with honor and dignity performed and perform military duty to their homeland. They serve in all corners of our country.
Unfortunately, 31 graduates died in the performance of military duty. Light memory of them ...
