Cox's Bazaar, the most attractive tourist spots for Bangladesh and not only for Bangladesh it's the longest sea beach in the world one hundred and fifty miles (241.4 Kilo miters sandy sea beach with a gentle slope). And it's the tourist capital of Bangladesh. People visit this beach because it is shark free and good for bathing, swimming & sun-bathing. Cox’s Bazaar is also known by the name Panowa, whose literal translation means "yellow flower." Its other old name was "Palongkee". The cutting-edge cox's Bazar derives its name from Captain Hiram Cox (died 1799), an officer serving in British India. An officer of the British East India society, captain cox becomes appointed superintendent of palongkee outpost after Warren Hastings became governor of Bengal.

Cox's Bazaar beach has the distinction of being the world’s longest ‘natural unbroken and uninterrupted sand’ beach, stretching across 150 miles. It’s an interesting place which is one of the most popular tourist attractions in Bangladesh.
The second longest sea beach in the world "Praia do Casino Beach" is in Brazil. At over 145 miles in length, "Padre Island" sea beach in Texas, This beach is about 130 miles long and is known for being third longest sea beach in the world.

There are three different attractive spots in this beach. These are “Laboni Beach” this is very nearer to town. Laboni seashore is the main beach of cox's bazaar. At here we can without difficulty experience the scenic splendor of Bay of Bengal. It’s an area for leisure; the seashore is well liked in the course of sunsets and sunrise. “humchari seashore” which is famous for its waterfalls and the remaining one is “inani beach” which is very famous for the solar tub. On the other hand cox’s bazaar a fishing port and district headquarters in Bangladesh. Cox’s Bazar has many species of crabs and snails which make the beach undoubtedly most attractive than other beaches in this world.

This is a very attractive spot and also a very popular tourist spot for all Domestic and International tourists. A huge amount of foreign currency is earned every year regarding this spot. And the best time for visiting the spot is from the month of November to March, during which the weather is completely fine, calm and quiet.
