Pagodas Brought from Won Ju City Which Lost Their Temple Place

in #travel5 years ago

Pagodas standing in the fore park of the National Museum had 2 common points. The first was all of pagodas were made in Goryeo dynasty. The second was the original places of those pagodas were ruined due to several causes.

As my thought approaching to the ruined place, pagodas looked different for me. Suddenly it seemed there was a sad voice from inside of the stone pagoda. It seemed that I heard the mason’s voice who made the pagoda.

All of pagodas’s original place were destroyed. Especially half of pagodas were brought from WonJu city. I could not understand why the temple places in Won Ju city were destroyed that much.

Anyhow, pagodas in the park of the Museum made me think sad history of disappeared Kingdom. And I made up my mind to look around the ruined temple place in Won Ju city. The pagoda's shape was typically that of Goryeo dynasty.
I looked not so well balanced, sometimes they reminded me of pagodas in Wun Ju Sa temple filled the whole valleys.

Why are many temples ruined in Won Ju City ?

@slowwalker,
It's sad to hear there are a lot of ruins at WonJu city! Atleast these Pagodas are saved, but if they located at the original place, it might be more precious! Nice photography and hope you will find out why those Pagodas were moved to this place!

Cheers~

beautiful pagoda.

We can see the beauty of pagoda. It is very balance but look so lonely. They are beautiful. Especially if all the pagodas are still intact, of course we will get more beauty.
the destruction of pagodas or places of worship can sometimes be caused by conflicts between rulers. The rulers who think the people who are not in line with them will be destroyed including the places of ruling.
this makes politics a cause of damage to places of worship.
Hopefully there will be better attention from all parties starting from the government, people and society in general to participate in preserving it.
Thank you @slowwalker

Why are many temples ruined in Won Ju City?

I think it could be as a result of the new development of the new world, Pagodas Brought from Won Ju City is so beautiful and seeing them destroyed isn't really good. Beautiful view from here WOW

Very nice pictures! Do you know if there is anything to discover around that area? maybe something underground? imagine if those pagodas are just the top of a covered building...

@slowwalker, you found best two common points. Yeah pagodas built up lot of tired work and hard task. So no worries about came from pagoda's inside Mason's voice. Many temples ruined this city. I think with some of wars came to Korea, were destroyed.

The pagodas feature looks pagoda in my country but it keeps bond ash.
