I wish I could stay longer or come back! My 3 weeks Report By:Dániel Husóczki 21.11.2018 [IT] (EN)

Hello Steemians!

Sadly this will be the last daily report that you will read from me, but this will be the longest, because I will write down everything we did, since we came here in Vienna. We have improved our IT skills and English skills. We learned a lot of new things, for example the 3D modelling which is a really interesting and exciting thing.

On Saturday afternoon we arrived at the hostel and since the job was only started on Monday, we had time to look around. At first we went to the hostel, checked our room, eat and in the afternoon we went to the city to see what Vienna is like..

The first working day was Monday. At this time we met Manuel (@gexi) who was one of our tutors, and everyone had a little talk with him, of course in English. Unfortunately at that time we could not met Jean (@jnmarteau), who was our other tutor because he was still sick. The first day wasn’t difficult, after learning about #steem and #steemit we just had to write an #introduceyourself in English that we had to post later on the platform as a blog,a crypto-blog!

The interesting work started from the second day. We could choose between web development or 3D work. Most part of the team, including myself have chosen the 3D. I chose this because it was new for me and wanted to know how it works.

We got our first task. We had to model the outside of our hostel in 3D. The 3D team was split into three teams, I was in one team with Máté, Ádám, Benjamin and Zsolt.

Our task was the backside of the building, which was difficult at the start. Only Benjamin knew how to work well in the 3D editor, because he used it before, when he was here last year at @globalschool. With some practice we all became better and better. We made some textures too, like the boards on the garage door.

We made this project for about 2 weeks. That can be said that we were new in the program. Meanwhile, we could finally meet Jean (@jnmarteau). At the first Sunday morning we went to visit the center of Vienna with him, it was really interesting, because he made it original. We have seen many wonderful buildings, such as the Parliament and he told us a lot about their past. What is happening now and what happened there. Personally, I found the excursion very interesting and I liked the way Jean showed it to us.

Once we have prepared the outside of the hostel, we could choose between different tasks again. Some decided to make the inside of the building. Some of us have chosen to make the #Steemfest place. Benjamin Kevin and I decided to make a web page. At first we just used the HTML and CSS languages. Kevin started to work on the Shop page, Benjamin and I started to work on the Main and the Sign In/Sign Up pages. At the start we worked slowly, because we don’t have enough experience to make a website like this on our own, so we used a template after a research on internet, and we transformed it. Later we had to use the PHP language too because of the database of the login page. The login and registration page was fully functional, so I decided to continue to work on the design of the main page. Meanwhile Kevin and Benjamin worked on the Shop page.

Unfortunately we couldn’t finish it, because it was the last day, and we ran out of time. I think I'm going to make a website when I get home because I really liked it.

I really enjoyed this three weeks, I’m very happy I could have been part of it thank you @globalschool and all the supporters. The environment, the team, everything was very good!
