Sliding Down the Waterfalls of Paradise

Ton Pliw is one of the few waterfalls in Thailand with a natural slider that's low in risks of injury. The rock formation on the first tier isn't sharp and the algae make a perfect lubricant to slide down injury free. The formation isn't too steep so children used to swimming over the age of 8 can safely play.

Ton Pliw Waterfalls is often overlooked because it's in a national park called Khao Chong, which also acts as a nature preserve education center.

Most people end up at the first waterfall, the Khao Chong waterfall and wind up playing in its gorgeous waters. Ton Pliw Waterfalls is one of the highest in Khao Chong Park so you have to drive another 2 km up the mountain and then walk another 1 km. Active people would have no problem with the 1 km hike and there are a few rest stops to sit at for non-active people.

In the video I said grandson but in English, he's my great nephew. My nephew's about 9 years old so we can see the minimized risks of injury. The bigger slide I was referring to in the video has a huge boulder in front of the water entry point.

If you ever make it to Tom Pliw Waterfalls and use the big slide, you'll have to slightly control your body position to avoid the boulder.

The fun and excitement of these sliders have made Ton Pliw Waterfalls one of my favorite waterfalls in Thailand.
