Shut Down the Streets! Chicano Pride Ride in Denver, Colorado
Every year in May, members of various clubs and organizations gather, joined as well by individual riders out for a good time. The Chicano Pride Ride in Denver, Colorado is a tradition.
It follows the Blessing of the Ridez (with a Z) in the spring where all of the motorcycle enthusiasts in the Chicano biker community ascend to the top of Colorado's stunning Mother Cabrini Shrine. Once at the shrine, a priest blesses the hundreds of motorcycles which cram into the lot every year to be splashed with holy water from the font and passed over with blessed incense.
Both events are open to newcomers.
