The beginner's eye- enjoy every moment no matter where you are!

As that famous saying says "the grass looks greener on the other side".
The albanian population has emigrated continously and in masses since 1990, when our borders opened after 50 years of opressiom under the communist regime.
As a nation, we have craved and still crave, what we never had. Meaning... stability, financial security, rule of law, an effective health system, pension policies in place, assets, heritage... and the list can go on for ages.
When we focus on what we do not have, of course we will forget to appreciate what we do have.
And we have this!
This is a picture I took at the top of Llogara National Park, found in the south of the country.
I am writing this post, not only to raise awareness about the untouched beauty this country has to offer, but also to remind myself that I should see the glass half full!
In the recent years, I have had the opportunity to work with the expats living in Albania. Which means, I got to see my country from another point of view. As a Buddhist would say, i saw it with the beginner's eye :)
I've got friends living here that originaly come from EU countries. You would think .. are they stupid to come and live here? This place has nothing to offer. No commodities, no art, no functional health system .. etc etc.
No matter what, they enjoy the FREDOOM Albania offers. A country in the heart of Europe, almost in anarchy state.. means a place of no rules. Cheap prices too. Unspoiled nature. Bio food.
You can get a paraschute experience for 50 euros in one of the most breathtaking sceneries I have witnessed until now.
You can enjoy the fresh mountain air and camp wherever you want to. Nobody will come and ask you to leave.
You can enjoy crystal clear waters without being worried that they are too crowded.
And if you enjoy sunsets, you will never want to leave ☺
I hope you have enjoyed today's pictures! I am getting mixed feelings as the summer is coming to an end, but I guess it is now time to do some hikes and enjoy Fall's warm colors :)

Was awesome eveyone was friendly. Probaly becuase they thought i was a basketball player. Both of my kids are half Albanian.

It's all a matter of perspective :) I've heard so many people saying that Albania is beautiful, but I haven't had the chance to visit it yet. Your photos prove that - they are wonderful :)
