RE: Travel Pro Tip #38: Affordable Massages in Cusco Peru! (3 minute video)

in #travel6 years ago

You walked up to the square where Sam was staying. He was trying to identify the streets and then it became familiar. Can't remember the name of the hotel, but recognise the outside.

There weren't any massages on offer when he was there. As you found out, it's only three years old, but great business idea to introduce it as those who have been on a 3-5 day Inca trek, their feet and legs would be burning after such a trek!

That is so cool. Unfortunately, in most developing countries when one person starts a business and has some success everyone under the sun jumps on board and drowns out the market through competition making is lousy overly competitive for everyone. I got approached by over 30 women in that area doing massages in less than an hour walking around. I counted! Was just nuts.

Yes that is the nature of the beast. Money drives opportunists and gready hearts! With passing traffic and the desire of conquering the Inca trail, there would be many massage places there. It does seem excessive, but that's the result of tourism.
