My vacation this weekend
This weekend we're heading to the Upper Peninsula for a wedding in my family. I haven't been across the Mackinaw Bridge since I was a young child. Earlier this year we saw it, but never did go across.
It is a monster of a bridge linking Upper and Lower Michigan. 5 miles long and 552FT above the water at the tallest point of the main tower. Here is what she looks like.
We have no plans except the wedding on Saturday. The rest of the time will be spent adventuring. There is a ton of stuff to do up there. Some of the other attractions we might visit will include.

I totally want to go over that bridge! I saw a special on it and the geology underneath it a month or so ago. I remember nothing it said but it was interesting. 🤓
LOL. It's an awesome bridge. They have a cool museum on the northern side of it. We might swing through it if we have enough time.
