Pictured Rocks Cruise - Day 1741- Journey With No Destination Tour

The boat tour of the Pictured Rocks cliffs from Lake Superior is a must do if ever in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Munising is where you board the cruise that lasts two and a half hours, costs $38, and rescuing the life of a tipped kayaker is sometimes included. You can sit inside in warm comfort or outside on top of the cabin and feel the cold autumn breeze on your face. It was the highlight of my three month visit to Michigan.

Many spectacular waterfalls flowing over the cliffs may be seen depending on the rainfall. This autumn the rainfall was way above average so the waterfalls were especially beautiful.

The boat also rescued a kayaker that tipped over in the cold 40° F water. She wasn't wearing a wetsuit and would have likely perished, as along the steep cliffs there is no place to exit the water.
