Hey lovely Steemit community members! Yesterday's post brought so much attention I couldn't keep myself from preparing another one especially for all of you today, right when I got some spare time the first thing I've decided to do was this. Russian Chapel in Rosslyn - Hope you'll enjoy!;)

Introduction:

The Chapel's cipher in Rosslyn is a collection of information that has been included on the walls and in the works of this extraordinary building. Many of them remain mysterious until today.
All the decorations out there aren't only serving the purpose of looking good, they made a deeper meaning and carried the message, but not all the pieces of information got read.
The Rosslyn chapel was built in the XV century and since then impresses with its Gothic architecture.
It is a type of construction well-known for its extremely rich ornamentation, which makes it liked by both architecture enthusiasts and people who do not have too extensive knowledge about it.

Walls full of content:

Due to the fact that such a rich message has been included on the walls of this building, the Rosslyn chapel is often referred to as the "Temple of codes" or the "Bible forged in stone". Working on it required huge commitment and labor input, including masses of workers and craftsmen, the consequence of which was the establishment of the village of Rosslyn.
Unfortunately, after about 100 years, the building was somewhat damaged
by the Reformers and its destruction lasted until the 18th century.
Sometimes, in the meantime, it was used for completely inadequate purposes, for example as a horses stable.

Exceptional location:

The place where the Rosslyn chapel was built was well known from 1303, why would you ask? Well, it's the moment when the Scottish knights during one night beat far stronger British Army three times.
The locals then came to the conclusion that this place is subject to some special higher forces and it's necessary to use this fact. The chapel was created for Sir William St. Clair, the Prince of Orkney who was buried there after death.

History:

The history of this architectural object is really complicated, but it managed to overcome many secrets.
Many of them have an extremely dark character and a strong relationship with the deaths of people who had connections with the building and died. The idea appears that after entering the interior, every tourist will feel a strong anxiety and the heavy, overwhelming atmosphere like in haunted houses, well not really. It's completely different on this occasion. Visitors to this place talk about their feelings very positively, this place seems more romantic than dark to them. Fear is quickly going away while you admire the wonderful candlelights that burn in the chapel. Also, the uniqueness of beautiful interiors is outstanding.

Secrets & Legends:

One of the most famous legends about the chapel in Rosslyn is the story speaking
about the Pupil's Pillar, which is far from good. A stonemason master received an order to build a column for the building. He was known for his attention to details. He decided to go to Rome, which at that time was the undisputed capital of art where he enjoyed the latest trends. His goal was to create something that would make him famous and remembered in entire Europe. Before leaving, he instructed his student to start working on the column but never expected to see it ready when he comes back. The student's pillar pierced all the plans that the teacher had about his work. The event presented in the legend is supposed to be the reference of Hiram Abiff.
A student got killed by the master, he hammered his head due to the fact that he did not want to give him the name of God, which in the opinion of masonic circles he had to know. Sometime later the scene of master returning and witnessing his pupil with the ready column got carved in the chapel's walls.

Another cipher that is not entirely clear is the figure of an angel.
Of course, there are a lot of similar figures in the chapel, but one that author has equipped with an instrument is very attractive and interesting for observers. The attributes she possesses are elements characteristic of Scottish musicians, who made living in those times at the court more pleasant with their music.
They were really important, even protected by high-ranked people who did not care about
any parts of their lives except playing their songs.
Unfortunately, over time, they began to be more and more frivolous and allowed themselves to do more and more.
One of the loudest cases including them was murder at the end of 1503.
However, in most cases, it was not possible to prove them guilty and link them with collected evidence.
You can, therefore, suspect that it is a hidden reference to the symbol of the devil that we also meet in the building.

Thank you for being here, if you want to share something on this subject please do, see you soon!:)
