Introduction

Travel Digest

In our first featured post @luckyme03200 goes down south Argentina to see the Perito Moreno glacier located at Los Glaciares National Park. He starts his trip in a remote town called El calafate and from there its a 1.5 hours bus ride to see the glacier. The glacier is massive and measures 30km in length, 5km wide, average of 74 meters high so he takes a boat trip to get get an up close and personal view of it. You get so close that you can actually see and hear the ice blocks breaking off the glacier, splashing into the water. And to top it off, @luckyme03200 sees a stunning rainbow in front of the glacier. Lucky you I say!

How does a fairy tale like walk through waterfalls, impressive caves, blue and green lakes, horned viper, dragonflies and fireflies sound for a weekend walk? This is where @carolinaelly went with her son, the National Park Nerei’s keys in Caraş-Severin county in Romania. The great thing about this park is that there is no mobile signal so you can hike in peace and quiet and admire the beautiful surroundings. There are quite a few waterfalls on the way, and after trekking through the woods she reaches a glade and stop there for a picnic. The destination of the walk is a turquoise blue lake surrounded by the woods. Absolutely gorgeous.

Our last feature post is from @mnallica who takes us on a tour to the Sinop Prison in Turkey. This was originally built as castle in 1214 until it was officially used as a prison in 1887. It was known as the "Alcatraz of Anatolia" at the time and is especially famous for its high walls where not even the birds can fly away. Sinop Prison has 28 wards and more than 300 cells and is now turned into a museum and where you can enter the cells and see what they look like. Prison aside, the site looks full of interesting history, especially through @mnallica's lenses.
