💡 How It's Work - MALAYSIAN FOODTRUCK!

in #traveldigest6 years ago

Foodmorning Steemians! Today I prepare for you something special! Finally, I have found a Malaysian foodtruck! It wasn' t easy because they are not very popular in this country, but I found one of them and now I can show you how it works!

Because of the huge choice of restaurants, pubs and street stands, foodtrucks are not very popular in Malaysia. We will find them usually in the late evening when the restaurants are already closed.
Foodstuck is the last resort for those who return hungry at night after a few drinks. As we know, in such a state we spend money with a lighter hand and that is why the prices in pubs on wheels are much higher than in "normal" places.
For this reason, the owners of foodtrucks don't have too much respect among the community and, as I found out, they are perceived a bit like vultures, who want earn money on "tired" partygoers. But this doesn't change the fact that the way they work is very interesting. They are like a Swedish table on wheels just take a look:

In many containers you will find sticks with different snacks. You can choose between meat, seafood, digest, vegetables, eggs and even mushrooms! First of all, we choose the snacks that we are interested in, and then we pass them on to the cook, who prepares them in one of three ways. You can choose between deep frying, grilling or cooking in the broth.

When our snack is ready, we choose one of the four sauces and start a little feast!
All products are fresh, local and really tasty!

Because I like "strange" flavors I chose chicken stomachs for the beginning. Watch how they are prepared.

The prices are also presented in a clever way. Each stick is painted at the end on a specific color. Each color has a different price in the menu. Just a quick look at the color of the stick and then at the menu and you know how much u will pay for your snack. In my opinion, this is a very smart and interesting solution.

The choice of products is very large, so Calvin, my host, tells me what is worth to try. Besides the mentioned stomachs, I also had the opportunity to eat quail eggs, squid and an absolute hit - Enoi mushrooms, wrapped in bacon and fried in deep fat. They are crunchy, delicious and got a totally surprising taste.

I'm glad that I had a chance to watch how the Malaysian business on wheels works and try some traditional snacks. Culinary creativity of Asians surprises me on every step and I wish you all to have a chance to find out about it as well!

As you can see, foodtruck in Malaysia is quite different from what we usually see on the streets. And now you know how it works and what you can eat in it.

I hope you have learned something new and interesting from this article!

Food truck!! I want to try some of that Asian food! Did you do some cooking inside as well @the.foodini? I see you shot the videos from inside the truck🤗

It's delicious! This time I only picked up the bites, and the rest was done by a specialist. 😉
Here everything happens outside the foodtruck - deep frying, barbecue and broth areas are placed around the car. It's a really well designed business. 👌
