That was a lovely written post. I've never visited Bali, but my time in a India included a lot of those doubtful moments. As a tourist, it's always the challenge to find those special places that make you forget you are one. I'm happy you had at least a few of those!
Thank you. :) I think India and Bali are quite similar for that matter, even though it might be a little easier in India to find these genuine spots since the country's way bigger. Anyway, the way you put it is exactly right! In the end, we all remain tourists but it is rewarding to get off-the-beaten-path every time we get the opportunity.
