Boat trip along the Crimean coast: Theodosia-Koktebel

in #travelfeed6 years ago (edited)

Hello, my dearest friends! If you want to relax and see a lot of interesting sights, do not necessarily fly to the Maldives or choose a place in the Seychelles.

In Crimea, too, everything looks very picturesque. Here is a wonderful nature, gentle warm sea, fluttering butterflies and restless seagulls.

Arriving in June, we immediately decided to take a boat trip, and went from Feodosia to Koktebel. On the way we saw the famous Ilyinsky lighthouse.

This lighthouse was built on the highest point of the Cape of St. Elias in 1897, however, during the fierce battles during the great Patriotic war it was destroyed and only in 1955 it was restored.

During the war years there was a German artillery battery. Some remains of those bunkers and gun positions are still visible today.

And this already more modern facilities, only since forgotten that there now is (radar station, perhaps). It is difficult to take pictures and listen to the guide at the same time, some information just disappears :-)

We saw all kinds of rocky shores, and almost all the way we were accompanied by loud gulls. Like hang gliders maneuvered in the air and vigilantly peered into the vast expanses of the sea.

The Crimean coast and the scenery will impress anyone. Every minute you can see the picturesque rocks, crevices, dark caves and ravines, fraught with many mysteries and secrets.

This place is called "The Bay of love". Only to get here is quite difficult, you have to order a boat or a small boat.

Only 15-20 minutes from Theodosia and you are already in place.

The sea in Crimea is truly magical. Water during the day several times changes its shades. Then it is emerald, then turquoise, and sometimes it happens and here is a dark blue.

Watch the video, which made a couple of minutes after sailing from the port of Feodosia.

We travelled on a beautiful ship "Mikhail Svetlov". On the lower deck were comfortable armchairs and wide Windows.

There were few people, all were at the top, who took pictures, and who just admired nature and fed the seagulls.

However, for a long time there will not stand, the sun was hot so that you do not need to sunbathe on purpose.

The captain during the stop allowed us to take pictures of this part of the ship. What there just was not...

And in the captain's cabin, in General, eyes ran up from various buttons, levers, tables.

Sorry can not be pressed, it was more important to swim to your destination without adventure :-)

During this walk met and different boats.

Seagulls were always busy with something. We could catch a fish on the fly, eat right in flight and fly behind us further.

From the sea is clearly visible and a small resort village Ordzhonikidze.

And these are the outlines of the famous Genoese fortress. However, only a few hundred meters of the fortress wall and 2-3 old towers have survived to this day.

The scale of the Genoese fortress is impressive today. Once Italian sailors assigned the Cafa (now Theodosia) the most important strategic role.

I took a little video, which shows the sunken ships near the shore.

In this fortress before the arrival of the Ottoman conquerors everything was perfect. Fort coped with the tasks.

Look at the video from the quadcopter, which I found on the channel Aerial videos on YouTube.

In the Crimea, you can travel not only by sea, there are amazing mountains and rocks, many beautiful gorges and spectacular scenery.

Each such rock or cliff has its own legend.

And this Cape Kiik-Atlama is translated from the Crimean Tatar language as "jump of a wild goat", where "kiyik"-wild, also wild goat, and "Atlama" — jump.

Some argue that the name goes back to the word "Katlama". This appetizing national dish of puff pastry, it is as layered as these dangerous rocky cliffs.

Returning to Feodosia, the eye immediately stops at the bright building of the Aivazovsky art gallery. It is no coincidence that this house-Museum was painted in such a Sunny color that it can be easily seen from the sea.

In the port of Theodosia is beautiful, people, though a little, but you can always admire the sailing ships.

After arriving at the port, we did not want to leave this snow-white ship, so we took a photo for memory.

It is waiting for new tourists and travelers who will go on exciting boat trips on the Black sea.

Although the sea is already beginning to worry. Who knows what will happen in an hour or two.

Enjoy your holiday!
