The people, the cities and the landscapes are all great reasons for a return to Asia, but I mostly miss the food. Mount Batur is an active volcano and one of the sacred mountains according to Hindu belief. It is located Batur village, Kintamani District, #Bali. It’s height is 1717 m above sea level and people usually hike it within 2-3 hours.

When we arrived at the border of Laos, we were approached by a guy who sold us transport from the border to the hotel and to the boat plus the boat tickets. Initially, I didn't trust him at all thinking it must be a scam.

Further down the road, a shopkeeper stopped to chat and in the course of conversation he offered to buy my bicycle. When I told him the cost of the bike, he flatly refused. Stating in the same amount of money he could buy a motorcycle and still have spare change!
