Travel Tip: Svitavy, picturesque town on the border between Moravia and Bohemia

Welcome to my Travel Tip series where I promote some of the most beautiful places, interesting landmarks and impressive architectural sites of my homeland, the Czech Republic.
Today, I would like to take you to one of the most beautiful little towns of the country, the picturesque town of Svitavy.
Located in the Pardubice Region of the country, Svitavy is located right on the historic border between Moravia and Bohemia - two largest parts of the Czech Republic.

Currently home to approximately 17,000 people, the town was founded by Premonstratensian monks around 1150. Despite the relatively small size of the town, Svitavy boasts numerous tourist attractions and impressive architectural landmarks including the Old City Hall, the Moor House, the Ottendrofer House and the Peace Square with its iconic old colorful houses.

Svitavy is also famous for being the birthplace of Oskar Schindler a German industrialist who is credited with saving the lives of 1,200 Jews during the Holocaust by employing them in his factories.

@czechglobalhosts, This time you introduced most adorable city of Czech name called Svitavy. Seems little crowded lived there and very attractive building there. The Old City Hall, the Moor House, the Ottendrofer House and the Peace Square looks so remarkable. I looked images those adorable places in Svitavy through google images. I noted Svitavy for great visiting location to my list. Thanks for introduction.

Well, Tomas Thank you so very much for highlighting the wonderful place to visit, I am sure this place is always on the top of the list for the architectural minds. Because there is lot more for them to learn about, including style and the beauty of all these buildings. Best location between the border is also gives a strong attraction to visitors to come here.

That's an amazing town, I liked the coloring of the buildings. The versatile colors look nice. Even it was founded so long ago it looks very new.
