The Will to Survive... A #TreeTuesday post

It's not Tuesday without a #TreeTuesday post. My inspiration this week was a post by a new to me Steemian, @holisticmom.

What Nature Can Teach Us About Overcoming Difficulties In Life

By @holisticmom

The picture above holds a deep symbolism for the way we choose to look at life. Here is a tree stump. The tree was cut down, yet from that stump new shoots have sprouted. As it grows, it will be even bigger and better than the original that had proudly stood there. The tree chose to transcend it's potential death, gratefully sprouting new shoots. Healthy and strong. It didn't die or give up. It chose to find a way to survive. read more

One of my favorite #TreeTuesday topics has been to document the amazing survival qualities of trees.

My opening photo shows a tree growing along the ground... Rather than up reaching for the sky.

I find it fascinating all the unique ways trees find to stay alive and grow.

Life often drops situations at our feet. Here in my woods the trees met with a logging operation.

This tree died as the result.

This tree thrived...

What made the difference?

Both are beautiful... Both still an additive part of the whole of the woods here on the homestead.

Our attitudes as humans are likely the biggest factors in the direction we choose to travel. I choose to see everything as an opportunity, I choose wonder, I choose to survive.

Here are a few more trees that have chosen the same.

Those trees remind me of the woods at the back of our house when I was growing up. Lots of climbing up!

These are amazing photos. The will to live, just amazing.

The will to survive is strongest in those who have to overcome great adversity! The trees that sprang up from stumps are proof of this.

The trees always find their ways to survive even though to us it seems hopeless. The teaching of positive vibe from nature.

Nature has special features for surviving. That is how they have been created
to be. And that is what makes them unique. Thanks for sharing. @borrowedearth

Ah beautiful!! I should have saved my tree post for tree tuesday!! Nevermind.

Survival in nature always has a story, love the mushrooms thriving inside that old trunk of the tree.

Finding harmony and balance in death and life.
