In Canada can Police smoke pot?
With the pending October 17th date for Canada legalizing marijuana. Police in Canada are asking is it legal to consume pot?
Vancouver, Ottawa, Regina and Montreal will let officers use it recreationally when its legalized on October 17th. Calgary introduced a zero-consumption policy.
Vancouver, Ottawa, Regina and Montreal will all let their officers use the drug recreationally, as long as they’re fit for service. This is a very interesting topic as New Jersey is in the process of legalizing marijuana as well. Government workers can be drug tested, and if you test positive in the United States you can be terminated. I wonder if they will adopt the same policy in the US. How do you determine if someone is fit for duty?

That is a very valid question now, if usa also follows the same then its worth seeing what happens next with government officers with marijuana
I imagine people can use the excuse that they had too much to smoke so they cant come in to work, and that will be a valid excuse.
On the other hand, how many people go to work all messed up after a hard party (booze) weekend?
Very true, at my job people call out sick when they have too much to drink tge night before.
I'd be terminated if I didn't test positive lol
