It'd be thirsty, but then you just faactor that in as you save money with accomodation as the idea is to live in it. We spoke to people who converted one and travelled Australia in it - his was an UTTER beast crazy machine called 'Whatthehellisit' - you can google it - and they factored a fifth of the budget was petrol. HOwever, as the intention was to go to remote places and exist there for weeks in a self sufficient way, it's not as if you are spending that DAILY - I don't really see the diesel as a problem in terms of budget. Anyway, don't reckon we'll do it now.
