Hello beautiful people

Welcome to another TribeSteemUp Curation

Today, I am here to showcase some of the great Articles that the tribe members have created and that really embody what the Tribe stands for.

The TribeSteemUp community, was created by @kennyskitchen. It is a Community Abundance Generator which supports authors who write articles that look at ways in which we can become more empowered and create a more peaceful and free world.The authors that were chosen to become part of the TribeSteemUp community are all writing content of high quality, which are based on the following topics:

| Anarchy | Non-Violence | Philosophy | Veganism | Mindfulness |
| Community Empowerment | Love | Original Music | Esotericism |
| Healthy Recipes | Psychedelics | Truth | Permaculture |

The TribeSteemmUp community also has 8 Pillars/Principles that each member has agreed to adhere by and you can find The 8 Pillars of TribeSteemUp at the end of this post

I have 20 articles to share with you all today, articles that are all about inspiring us and motivating us to become more aware in our daily lives. For me life is all about learning, evolving and being mindful in all that we do. By coming together and engaging with one another we can all share our wisdom and empower one another. We can create the world in which we all wish to live. I am really happy to include @kennyskitchen's post about the upcoming Be Empowered Festival/Retreat, which sounds amazing. There are so many great and insightful articles and videos this week, so happy reading/watching and remember to show your appreciation by upvoting and commenting. You can go one step further by following the TribesteemUp Curation Trail, this way way you are supporting all the great authors who are creating quality content.

Ordo ab Chao: Finding balance in the storm [Now on course to become a naturopathic doctor!]

@alchemage

I have been mostly absent this year from online presence, though there are those who know where I might be found lurking. Frankly, this has been a reflection of my actions in the world of the physical experiences as well. I've taken quite some time to isolate this year as I focus towards finding the best version of myself within the current defining contexts of life. I quit drinking alcohol at the beginning of the year with plans to stay sober until I can develop a healthy relationship with the compound. For now though, I move forward with grace.
There is much that has occurred since this year has begun, namely that of the change in trajectory for my educational journey. Initially, I was working towards a biochemistry major seeking to finalize with a doctorates degree.

Pushing a Different Fair Trade Barrow

@artemislives

I really don't give a hoot about Fair Trade product stickers, logos or certification. And yet, Fair Trade theory & practice inform all aspects of my herbal business here in Northern Thailand at very deep levels. Western country Fair Trade is endlessly on about how much the workers get paid and their rights, but rarely talks about or teaches them responsibility. Which isn't fair, cos the moment they leave our padded Fair Trade cocoon, they have no road map nor the skills to function in another employment situation, and it often fails. Leaving them unemployed again, which isn't fair.

Chemicals in Plastics are Laying Waste to Male Fertility

@krnel

Plastics may have changed the way we live in many positive ways, but it's far from being "all good". It's everywhere, affecting our environment, other animals and ourselves in ways we're only just learning about. Many of us are now aware of the huge floating plastic garbage islands in the oceans. There are even micro plastics that get ingested by nonhuman and human animals alike.
Even without consuming plastics, there are other threats that plastic pose due to the chemicals put into them. These include chemicals like BPA, which is found in so much, from DVDs to cash register receipts. BPA has is known to be an endocrine disruptor. What does that matter, you might ask?

ELAmental's Earth Deed of the Day - ACAPULCO EDITION - Street Trash Clean-Up - Giving back to the Local Community & Environment

@elamental

We chose to spend part our last day in Acapulco cleaning up the street in front of our rental house. I did this last year also, undocumented during my early Steem days - before I had the #EarthDeeds idea. I view this as a way to give back to the local community that has been gracious enough to host us, AND a way to help improve the environment in general. Not a bad way to spend part of our last day in this great city.
The photo below displays a mural adjacent to our street, stressing the importance of proper trash disposal near water. Ironically, there is trash on the ground right below where the trash can in the mural is painted, and there are missing pieces of the depicted surfer.

Homesteaders - Living Naturally, Newsletter. 6th March 2019

@homesteaderscoop

Lots of great things have been happening in the homesteading community recently, so it feels like an opportune time to bring back the homesteading newsletter. A big thank you @sagescrub for offering a home for it at @homesteaderscoop.
While the title says Homesteaders, the community branches into so many different areas. Whether you're a backyard gardener or living on acres, interested in natural living and medicines or prepping, crafting, DIY and food preparation, interests and communities all interlink and are welcoming and I’m sure you’ll find something of interest to you and a place for you.
The Homesteaders Co-op is the first marketplace to be purpose built with peer to peer Steem payments in mind. You can read or hear more about how it evolved here. The Homesteaders Co-op can also now be found on Facebook, Pinterest and YouTube.

International Women's Day and Our Sacred Moon Cycle

@trucklife-family

Today is International Women's Day and as much as I like to celebrate my friends and take the time to look back and remember the many women that came before us, part of me is a little disappointed that we actually need a specific day to do so. Of course there is nothing stopping us from doing it all the time. But who does?
Don't get me wrong, it is great that there is a day where people come together and focus on the many amazing achievements that women have made and are making. But every year on this day I always end up wanting to scream out, come everyone we can do better than this.
I do not want to take away from this day and the many wonderful things that are happening around the world, indeed I have been wishing everyone a wonderful Women's day. I do however, like to see today as a small stepping stone, towards what really needs to happen

Chronic Illness & the Hero's Journey, Part 1

@metametheus

Medicine, mythology, and the construction of meaning
Whilst reflecting on my personal experience with serious illness, I started to recognise parallels between my journey to recovery and the monomyth which underlines mythologies from all cultures, past and present. This is the first part in my contemplations on a new way of approaching healing and health.
My current work with the I Ching has inspired me to explore some wonderful memories, and consider certain aspects of my life from a different perspective. Inspired by some of the amazing work being done in the @naturalmedicine community, I began to meditate on the reasons I left the Natural Medicine profession. I'd left partly due to personal dissatisfaction, and I've wondered if it was because I was practicing in a way I knew intuitively wasn't working.

Plantain, Elecampane, Basil: A Contemplation for Natural Medicine [Plant Medicine]

@riverflows

Summer is fading and Autumn is definitely in the air. The ornamental apple is the dead giveaway, even if the air might not be telling given our unusual heat wave. It's leaves are turning colour as if in loud protest, and littering the path. It's pretty much clean up time - time for green tomato chutney, to thankfully harvest the last of the zucchinis, to test the hops to see if they're dry enough to pick yet. It's all part of the seasonal change and whilst it's kinda bittersweet, I'm eager for what the new season will bring, least of all a chance to let the soil rest a little and be rejuvenated with green crops and manure.
It's a good time to contemplate plant medicines as I think about the @naturalmedicinechallenge which asks us to investigate three plants - elecampane, basil and plantain! Check out the challenge here - let's learn some stuff! There's 25 steem worth of prizes on offer for the best posts - truly great inspiration for writing!

Use This Mercury Retrograde to Spring Forward

@indigoocean

I think a lot of people don't know how to do MR.
Now if you don't even believe it's real, just skip this post, as I intend to devote no time towards trying to convince anyone.
But if you have observed Mercury Retrograde patterns in your life, then this may be a very helpful insight.
This is only a frustrating time if you're trying to move outward instead of turning inward
There is tremendous support right now for gaining insight about your life. Insight about what it's all been shaping itself into, about next steps, and about things you've been doing that have been holding you back. This is prime time, friends.
Now always such wisdom is flowing towards us, but during MR we get something of an assist from the Universe in really paying attention and processing that information. The assist is in the form of making things that might distract us -- like planning, traveling, communicating with others, making new commitments/contracts, etc. -- really, really fucked.

The Hierarchy of Authentic Consent

@wwf

I've been working on relationships, freedom and everything in between for over 20 years. As I work with my tribe to build our next retreat called 'Spiritual Sovereignty', the concept of consent obviously had to be discussed. My tribe is absolutely amazing and what follows is all our work, articulated the best I can. My Tribe Rocks!!! This is a summarization of what we discovered when we allowed spirit to guide us through this topic. If you are not familiar with the Spiritual, Physical and Fictional Realms, then I recommend that you read my book, which can be purchased on our Homesteaders Co-op store front or it can be found for free on the blockchain.

Known as "White Man's Boot" - Day 253 - Haiku - for @naturalmedicine's Contest, My Take on Plantain

@crescendoofpeace

One of the first things our European ancestors brought with them to the New World was their Old World friend plantain, also known as plantago.
A very hardy, perennial herb with heavily veined, fleshy leaves, it was so ubiquitous in the areas where the Europeans traveled and settled that Native Americans began calling it “Englishman’s Foot” or "White Man's Boot," because seemingly everywhere the white man stepped, the plants were sure to follow.
Many theorize that the seeds of plantain, and to a lesser degree of other European plants, were literally carried in the soil in the nooks and crannies of their rarely-cleaned boots.
Then again, according to some, the Latin name roughly translates to "sole of the foot," in reference to the plant's lower leaves growing close and parallel to the ground, so the nickname may have an older origin.

Why so often what we choose doesn't manifest quickly?

@nomad-magus

The truth of creation is quite simple and known to my readers – you choose and therefore you create. It is simple - it should be simple - has no reservations and works all the time. This is old news.
But why does it seem very often and many times that what we choose comes to us very late; or that events that we experience are terrible and surely not in accordance with our initial choices?
The answer is simple. Look at it this way: there is a grand system that works all the time for you. Since this system loves you very much it is obliged to comply with two principles:
It always hears you and always follows your choices.
It cannot create something that might destroy you.
Each time you make a choice the system begins to execute. It “takes” your choice and begin the checking for the fastest, easiest and simplest way to bring to you that choice.

Forget About Plastic Recycling... It Is TOO Late! (America Can't Afford Recycling)

@earthcustodians

Is This the End of Recycling?
March 2019, THE ATLANTIC ... After decades of earnest public-information campaigns, Americans are finally recycling.... But now much of that carefully sorted recycling is ending up in the trash. For decades, we were sending the bulk of our recycling to China—tons and tons of it, sent over on ships to be made into goods such as shoes and bags and new plastic products.
EARTH CUSTODIANS: recycling plastic to make plastic? Let's get real: it cannot be that much less polluting than making new plastic considering the process requiring many chemincals, and that much of the recycled pastic will still end up in landfills because people just dump their plastic bottles wherever. Overconsuming does not and will never respect life as a whole. Moreover less than 25% of plastics are recyclable. In the US alone, only 9% of plastics were recycled in 2015.

The Key To Control: Fear

@taskmaster4450

Fear is something that we are so accustomed to that we do not realize how destructive it is. By engaging in this, we allow ourselves to be controlled. This is something that is conditioned in us and used by those who are there to "protect us".
Our buying into fear is what allows for the wars to take place. It enables politicians to blast through our rights and pass laws that favor them. Advertisers use this to buy products we do not need. We feel bad about ourselves so we seek to fill the void with what they tout as the solution. Drugs, alcohol, sex, money, power, prestige are what we are led to believe is what we need.
We have an entire economic and political system that is erected around this. Think of all the businesses and institutions that exist simply because we are afraid. Consider how many actions are taken out of fear and envy. This is, of course, affirmed by the media and Hollywood who churn out violence and hatred.

State Lawmakers Push For Mandatory Home Inspections For Homeschoolers

@doitvoluntarily

Two new bills have recently been introduced, one in Illinois and one in Iowa, that are seeking to infringe on the rights of homeschoolers and treat them as guilty until proven innocent.
More specifically, they want to make changes which involve CPS investigating homeschooled children without cause.
Why? Because they want to be sure that children aren't being abused or neglected.
They want to violate the natural rights of parents...for safety.
Thankfully, the homeschooling community pushed back hard in Illinois and that bill has failed. But in Iowa, HF 272 could still be passed, and that bill is seeking to do the same.
