New Year Night Trip To The Place Of Prohibited Fireworks

Celebrating New Year's Eve, far in the future, it must be planing where to go and with whom. Everyone has a different way of celebrating the new year, in Indonesia this difference has always been an annual conversation, but most importantly there is new optimism for the new year with new enthusiasm and the latest energy.

The new year's eve that most people are definitely waiting for is the excitement of fireworks. Well, it was precisely this night of the night that I was in a place where there were no fireworks. Strange? When people approached the location of fireworks on New Year's Eve, I was instead in a forbidden place lighting fireworks. Doesn't make me curious?

In Jakarta and its surrounding areas, the new Year's Eve 2019 feels the Chinese New Year, the rain is endless throughout the day from before the Maghrib to the turn of the year, sometimes heavy sometimes runny. But still not stemming the enthusiasm of the spirit of the people celebrating it.

New year for some office workers is an opportunity to buy annual leave. That doesn't apply to me who has to monitor whatsapp group. And this is my new year's eve trip.

To get to the forbidden place for fireworks, I traveled by riding a motorcycle, because the location is still in the Jakarta area not so far from where I live, the distance is 1 hour to 2 hours. After all, to ride a motorcycle also to minimize traffic jams, especially on New Year's Eve. If I ride a motorbike, I can slip and pass the rats.

Oh yeah ... the forbidden place for fireworks is north of Jakarta, the Jakarta Group Fuel Terminal, at Plumpang. According to Pertamina's record, the Plumpang Pertamina TBBM was included in the list of nominations for the 7th Most Efficient Storage Terminal at the 2018 Global Tank Storage Award. Wow, right?

Back on the trip, anticipating the delay I decided to leave at 17.00. The trip is quite smooth, it's just not too step on the gas, considering that during the rain trip it never stops. From Ciputat, passing through Trogong, Cipete, Antasari, Wijaya, Tendean to Menteng Park is still smooth, perhaps the effects of rain so people choose not to go outside. Entering Gondangdia station until Gambir station was a bit stagnant because there were already many people and vehicles coming to Monas, one of the new year's eve crowds in Jakarta.

With the rainy weather along the road and not speeding added to it, at 8:00 p.m. I could only get to the destination to spend the last night of 2018.

Not imagined, indeed, the new year is here. Even though this is part of the job, I consider this a very rare New Year's Eve trip.

But for Pertamina's super heroes, the new year's eve is also a special night because it is at the forefront of serving the public in the distribution of fuel.

At Plumpang Oil Fuel Termina also met Pertamina directors and their staff. The Plumpang Fuel Termina is one of the Christmas and New Year Task Force posts to ensure the supply of fuel oil and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) is safe during the year-end holidays of the two big moments. at 12:00 am, Finished the event, the trip finished at the Plumpang BBM Terminal. I decided to go straight home even though it was raining again. As long as the eye has not been attacked by acute sleepiness, for road safety. In fact, if I stay for a while at the Pertamina Fuel Terminal in Plumpang, I can still enjoy durian, boiled bananas, boiled yams, boiled corn, plus drinking bajigur hm ..., but I really have to go home without packing any delicious snacks hehe.
