Travel in Italy: COMACCHIO

Yesterday I wrote about my travel in Emilia Romagna: in that episode I wrote about a beautiful city that is Ferrara. One of the greatest cities in the center of Italy and where my girlfriend and I spent almost a whole day.
In today episode I would like to deal with another little town near to Ferrara: this is Comacchio and it is known as the Little Venice and during the post you will understand the reasons of this nickname.
I took a lot of photos and I hope you will enjoy them.
Comacchio is a town near to the end of the longest river in Italy: Po was a really important element in the past History, because it was one of the main way to move from a place to another, to reach the sea and other harbours. In particular Venice, that is very near to Comacchio, was the strongest center of the North-East of Italy and one of the most important and richest cities in Europe.
So Comacchio was born in the Po delta and water is at the center of the town: there are a lot of channels inside and beautiful bridges to overcome them. The main photo of this post shows the main bridge of the city: this has four sides to reach the top and 3 channels which arrive from three different sides. It is beautiful and I enjoy to take a lot of photos. Here there are:

Ieri ho scritto del mio viaggio in Emilia Romagna: in quell’episodio ho descritto una splendida città che è Ferrara. Una delle più belle città del centro Italia dove la mia ragazza ed io abbiamo trascorso circa una girnata.
Nell’episodio di oggi mi piacerebbe trattare un’altra piccolo cittadina vicino Ferrara: Comacchio, conosciuta anche come la Piccola Venezia e lungo il post capirete le agioni di questo soprannome.br> Ho scattato molte foto e spero siano di vostro gradimento.
Comacchio è una città che sorge vicino alla fine del fiume più lungo d’Italia: il Po è stato un importante element nella Storia passata, dato chef u la principale via di trasporto per spostarsi da un luogo all’altro, per raggiungere il mare o altri porti. In particolare Venezia, che è molto vicina a Comacchio, era il centro più forte del nord-est dell’Italia ed una delle più importanti e ricche città in Europa.
Quindi Comacchio nacque sul delta del Po e l’acqua fu al centro della città_ ci sono molti canali all’interno e bellissimi ponti per oltrepassarli. La foto principale di questo post mostra il ponte principale della città: esso ha quattro lati per raggiungere la sommità e tre canali che arrivano da tre diverse direzioni. E’ bello ed è stato piacevole scattare molte foto. Eccone alcune:
Water has the same value of streets in other cities and boats are very important here. I like to take a look to this great element in places that I did not know. Something of beautiful, when I saw a father and a son together, while they are taking care of their little vehicle. A beautiful scene of daily life in Comacchio.
L’acqua ha lo stesso valore delle strade nelle alter città e le barche sono molto importanti qui. Mi è piaciuto scattare fotografie a questo splendido elemento in luoghi che non conoscevo. Qualcosa di splendido mi è apparso, quando ho visto un padre ed un figlio insieme mentre si prendevano cura del loro piccolo mezzo. Una bella scena di vita quotidiana in Comacchio.
Landscapes here are amazing and bridges are probably the main characters, build with red bricks. I was impressed by their charm and the quietness of the water and the air: there was a beautiful silence in Comacchio, and that was awesome. Something like a lovely place.
I paesaggi qui sono sensazionali ed I ponti sono probabilmente I protagonisti principali, costruiti con I mattoni rossi. Sono rimasto impressionato dal loro carattere persuasive e la tranquillità che l’acqua trasmette e che si respira nell’aria: c’era un bel silenzio a Comacchio e ciò è grandioso. Veramente un luogo amorevole
There are also other historical buildings: these are the center of the city and the heart of the daily life. Indoor fish market, the tower of the clock, churches and the tower of the city hall. This area is completely flat, because we are at the end of Pianura Padana and for each town the possibility to have a tower was very important because from an higher point of view they could see enemies or ships far awy.
Ci sono anche altri edifice storici: questi sono al centro della città ed il cuore della vita quotidiana. Il mercato del pesce coperto, la torre dell’orologio, le chiese e la torre del municipio. Questa area è completamente piatta , poiché siamo alla fine della Pianura Padana e per ogni città la possibilità di avere una torre era molto importante, perché da un punto più altro si sarebbe potuto osservare nemici e vascelli molto lontani.
Every Italian city takes with it a piece of History: here for example we can read that from Comacchio Giuseppe Garibaldi made the first group of soldiers to start the Unification of Italy. Something that would have changed the face of a Nation.
Ogni città Italian porta con sè un pezzo di Storia: qui per esempio possiamo leggere che da Comacchio Giuseppe Garibaldi organizzò il primo gruppo di soldati per iniziare l’Unificazione d’Italia. Qualcosa che avrebbe cambiato la faccia della Nazione.
Of course outside of the town there is also another landscape: where buildings have gone and they leave the space to the horizon and the sea. Here during Renaissance, Este family reclaimed this area and gives to the population the possibility to move here and create new places where was possible to live.
Certamente fuori dalla città c’è un altro tipo di paesaggio: dove gli edifice scompaiono e lasciano lo spazio all’orizzonte ed al mare. Qui durante il Rinascimento, la famiglia Este bonificò questa area e dette alla popolazione la possibilità di trasferirsi qui e creare nuovi ambienti dove fosse possibile vivere. div>

Terra veramente grandiosa!!! Ultimamente ho riscoperto la zona Romagnola e ne sono rimasto piacevolmente sorpreso, perchè anche io la conoscevo pochissimo.
