Waiting for spring - Gwangyang, Korea

It's still very cold and spring seems to be far far away.
But today on the internet I saw some photos of spring flowers already bloomed in the southern part of Korea.

These photos I am about to share with you were taken last March when we went to Gwangyang for Japanese apricot flower festival.

Gwangyang is a small town in the very southern part of Korea, famous for Japanese apricot farms and when the flower blossoms all over the town, it is so pretty.

A river runs near the town and along the river there is a beautiful road lined with cherry blossom trees.

Seomjin-Gang River

When you visit there around early-mid April every year, you see the road is amazingly pretty with full blossomed flowers.
The road is actually one of the 100 beautiful roads in Korea.

After seeing the flowers in the town we went to Hwaeomsa temple near by to see it's famous black apricot flowers.

It was too early for full bloom

It was a little funny to see so many people were busy taking photos yet there were not many blossoms.
Oh well, I was one of them. :p

I am hoping to go there again in the coming spring.

안녕하세요~
너무 추워서 아직 한 겨울인 것 같은데
오늘 포털 사이트에서 남쪽엔 벌써 봄 꽃이 피었다는 뉴스를 봤어요
그래서 작년 3월에 다녀온 광양 매화축제 사진을 글로벌 트립스팀을 통해 소개해 봤습니다~

사실 사람이 너무 많아서 매화마을 안쪽까지 들어가지 못했는데 다시 간다면 마을 안쪽도 들어가보고 싶어집니다.
마을에서 찍은 사진이 너무 예쁘더라구요.

광양에서 가까운 화엄사에 흑매화가 유명하다고 해서 거기도 갔는데 아직 꽃이 피기 전이었어요.

그래도 피어있는 꽃 몇 송이 사진 찍으려고 다들 카메라 들이 대는게 좀 재밌더라구요..
물론 저도 그 중 한 명이었구요 ^^

용량 때문에 사진은 따로 올리지 않을게요..ㅠㅠ;;
