The Bet
This is pretty funny to me. A crypto firm: Morgan Creek Digital Assets made public a bet that the "Bitwise" index fund of cryptos would outperform the S&P500 over the next decade.
This is actually such a fantastic idea, I'm surprised that things like this haven't made more public news.
People such as Warren Buffet have come forth in the past to say that they don't believe in cryptocurrency and don't believe that it will have any sort of long-term value.
Now they have a way to really put their money where their mouth is.
They can take on a similar bet and prove their skepticism legitimate.
Morgan Creek Digital Assets says that it will be open to professional investors who believe that crypto will either be worthless or exhibit less growth than public equities.
This is really interesting stuff. It's like a short, but more fun and more dynamic as it's compared to the S&P 500.
